Tony Allen Suffers One of the Least Necessary Injuries Ever

Text Size A A A

The whistle had blown. Jermaine O'Neal had already started to argue the call. Everyone else was standing around. And Tony Allen decides that this is the time to throw down like he's on NBA Jam.

I'm not saying that Tony Allen's a bad guy, or selfish, or dumb, or anything of the sort. Sometimes, a man feels like dunking, just for the sake of the dunk. A lot of guys do this.

But when someone gets injured on the non-play, especially when it appears to be an injury that's significant, the unnecessity of it gets hammered home. I wish Tony Allen could have those 10 seconds of his life back.
