The whistle had blown. Jermaine O'Neal had already started to argue the call. Everyone else was standing around. And Tony Allen decides that this is the time to throw down like he's on NBA Jam.
I'm not saying that Tony Allen's a bad guy, or selfish, or dumb, or anything of the sort. Sometimes, a man feels like dunking, just for the sake of the dunk. A lot of guys do this.

i was at that game and it was pretty painful to see michael olowakandi carry tony allen off the court after the injury, especially because he was lifting him BY THE KNEES. but at least olowakandi was able to contribute somehow.

It is too bad. A play he's probably made 1,000 times before but just landed a centimeter off the mark. Hope he recovers quickly from this.

Looked like he botched the landing because he was watching the ball go flying off of the rim.

The second sentence of this article gave me a chuckle. However the symptoms of Tony and Paul Pierce's injuries leave me less than enthusiastic. The Celtics can't win for losing. (See : Tim Duncan)

Last entry January 11th? John Havlicek would kick you in the balls, M.
Maybe you should sub-contract the Celtics gig to someone who actually lives near Boston and played basketball before.
Anywho... this may be of use to you. I interviewed a Boston Celtic Dancer for a local newspaper here on Cape Cod:

You're welcome.

Now that Tony Allan is out for the year
The Celts should look locally. There is a young man name Lance Gaines with Tony Allan like skills and more (a better shooter)24 years old.
He can be reached at adisaadofo@gmail.com

He is a better all around baller than Tony Allen and is a prolific pure shooter.
