Ron Artest's Birthday: Poppin' Bottles and Rainin' Money

You can keep your Suns' streaks, and your Dwight Howard box scores, and even your 30-foot Arenas buzzer beaters. It's the good stuff like this that makes me love my NBA oh so much. From Ben Widdicombe -- New York's hottest young gossip columnist:
Sacramento Kings players celebrated Ron Artest's birthday at Stereo last week, going through 30 bottles of Dom Perignon, Cristal and Hennessy for the team. Artest and Mike Bibby asked the waitress to change five $100 bills into singles, which they rained onto the dance floor, causing chaos.
Tremendous little anecdote, though, it would've been a million times funnier had Artest held his birthday festivities in Canada. Yeah, the AP headline would've been classic ...

Kings' Players Throw Loonies at Club; Four Dancers Injured.

And oh, quickly concerning that 'do: Has there ever been a player in the history of the NBA for who rocking a mohawk was just so damn perfect? I think not.
