Dwyane Wade's shot at the leadership skills of Dirk Nowitzki set the Vegas line-makers scrambling to figure out how long it would take Mark Cuban to defend his big man. In the end, the over/under was set at 14.5 hours. I, of course, bet heavy on the 'under', made billions of dollars, and amnow thinking about buying an NBA franchise and growing mad facial hair. Anyway, here is Cuban's response to D-Wade's remarks, via his blog:
I guess you have earned the right to criticize Dirk with an obvious display of your own leadership skills.Um, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Cuban didn't hit the treadmill before sitting down and hammering out that response. Jesus, Mark ... breathe a little. I understand stepping up to defend your franchise player -- that's fair -- but next time you may want to consider including some [sarcastic] tags or "HIYO's" just so a majority of the readers know not to take your personal attacks on Wade at face. Just a thought.
I know Shaq appreciates your leadership as well. He called out your team a few weeks ago saying it was "embarassing'. Great leadership DWade. Your coach sat players for being fat. I guess you couldnt lead them away from the buffet.
You are an amazing player Dwayne. I love watching you shoot free throws. What you know about Dirk's leadership skills is non existent. You don't have a clue. Your ability to evaluate leadership skills....well you obviously have an overinflated value of your own. Did you take business classes at Marquette?
But other than that, I freaking love it! In fact, to echo SI.com's Marty Burns, I, too, would like to thank Wade and Cuban for trying to add some much-needed spice to this regular season. Gilbert Arenas appreciates the help.

Leadership? Look where Wade's team is now compared to Dirk's. If he is as good a leader as he implies, then maybe, even with Shaq out, his championship team would be playing at a respectable level rather than a laughable one.
The Heat and the Mavericks will meet in Dallas on Feb. 22. I hope Dirk responds to Wade's criticism much like how he responded when Tim Thomas blew him that kiss in last year's Western Conference finals.

The Heat is playing the game that they want to play. When the game matters they'll step up and win another championship. There are two thing that Cuban money can't buy: A championship and class.

Its easy to talk all that smack when you coat-tail Shaq (even if he is declining) to a title. I'd love to see Wade "LEAD" when Shaq Albert is gone and all the other old oddities retire from Miami. Dirk, Kobe, Duncan, now those guys are "LEADING" their own cast. DWade can't even lead his bunch to a .500 record in the Leastern conference. In short, shut-up till you can prove yourself without KAZAAM, Zo, and the oddities.

People, let's be honest, last year finals were played by 2 great teams who fought through the whole season and deserved to be there in the finals. Do not fool me that both teams were just playing for fun but to win the NBA championship. And whoever may win the series you are the best team for that season. And that is with any sports! And when you start saying things like; yes, we gave them the game or they were just lucky and that is how losers always going to react. Negative comments towards Dwyane obviously will be made by Dallas fans and opposite the same.

Yeah sure Wade has a championship with the help from that overwight, declining jabroni known as Shaq and Wade's biotch known as David Stern, who suspended Stackhouse for game 5 in the finals for committing a "flagrant" foul on Shaq. Lets be honest: we all know that Shaq flopped, and it was a conspiracy to screw the Mavs out of a championship becuase everyone hates Cuban. If Wade was the man everyone says he is, then he should've been able to keep the Heat in a decent position in the Craptern Conference. The Easter Conference is a joke, and it seems that Wade cannot win there. He's an embarassment; he's nothing without Shaq. He should know he's role and shut his mouth. All this show that the Heat cheated to win the championship and if they were any good, then they'd have a winning record. They're an embarrasment.
