Another odd little note in this is that Tim Hardaway loves to stay at the YMCA. At least, that's where he was yesterday, doing an NBA Cares outreach event at a Vegas YMCA.
Just know, young boys of the Vegas area, that Tim Hardaway cares about you ... as long as you're not gay. In fact, if we're to believe the tales of the Village People, I'd guess that Tim Hardaway doesn't appreciate a lot of things that happen at the YMCA.
This whole thing has to just be a nightmare for David Stern. Not because of any agreement or disagreement Stern has on the issue, but he wants the shine to be on the events of All-Star weekend, and nothing else.
And not only is an ex-player grabbing headlines by advocating hate, stealing the spotlight from the impending All-Star weekend, but he's also doing an NBA Cares event. Tim Hardaway's sentiments are not what you'd call "caring."
If Timmy had another NBA Cares event scheduled for today, I think the invite's about to be rescinded. In fact, he's with David Stern in Vegas, the world capital of organized crime. He'll be lucky if David Stern, Adam Silver and Stu Jackson aren't out in the desert right now, digging a hole with Hardaway's name on it.

I can only assume Terry is being sarcastic here. Very Sarcastic. Otherwise, I think Terry needs redirect his/her anger more productively, perhaps by jumping off a bridge. Hatemonger.

Remember that the NBA is playing the YMCA's game. Stern should probably give them millions every year just to keep the Naismith family off his @$$.

Remember, kids... when you drop the soap in the shower, just jab your toe through it to pick it up. If you can't do that, just wash yourself with shampoo.

Tim's right. The gays and colored are ruining this country. Those blacks are were better when we owned them and the gays were better when they were in the closet. The Jews are no better. Why dont you people accept that this is a christian country, with christian beliefs. The blacks, jews, and gays should just leave. We would all be better off.

Tim's comment just prove what I've always thought about him. He is a closet homosexual himself. He feels the need to blast those who are comfortable with their gayness because he hates that part of himself. I just find it hilarious how obvious he just made himself.

What happened to freedom of speech? If an openly gay person had come out and said he/she hated heterosexuals, do you think there would be this kind of uproar. If the many doesn't like gay people, he doesn't like gay people. His perogative. Amaechi chose to tell all (do we really need to know the details of anyone's sexual preferences)... he chose to share much about his life and his beliefs. Hardaway chose to share something about his life and his beliefs. I appreciate that Hardaway is honest... if you're gay and you don't like it, deal with it... and don't join Hardaway's fan club. He doesn't like homosexuality... and he is expected to apologize for it? If you're gay, I'll bet you won't like my comment... and I expect you to apologize for it.

Tim should move to one of the many small, southern towns that dot the map where ignorance (as well as a BUSH 2004 sticker) are manitory. There he would see his hate reciprocated by the other bigots who besides hating gays also hate blacks. Or, better yet, he should star in a reality series that takes him to discos in every gay enclave from the Castro to Chelsea.

Once again-a homophobic black man is let off the hook for making hate-related statements.
But don't let anyone use the "N" word! Oh my god, the roof would cave in!
He's just proving that he's an ignorant inner-city mentally challenged idiot.
Go away. They should suspend his hateful ass for saying such stupid shit.
Your right-he probably likes it up the rear.

How dare you make statements like you did about Gays. Young people look up to figures such as you and this is what you preach and teach? HATE? How would you like it if someone said publicly that they HATE BLACKS? Being gay is just as natural as being black. It also is a fact that those who protest, have something that needs to be dealt with. Could someone actually want to come out of his closet??? HUMMMMMM????? Grow up! We all live in glass houses and this world is big enough for all. LIve and let live! What gives you the right to think your way is the only way???

I'm 75 years old and white and gay. I marched with Dr. King and many times at the Washington Mall to secure equal rights for blacks. Never would I thought I would hear this from someone who has the advantage my hard work in civil rights for him to get his rights to be accepted as a player in the NBA.
He needs help to accept himself. If he has gay feelings or has a problem he therapist could help bring them to the surface for him. May he find peace and acceptance the rest of his life.

Scared of the "Big Weenie"??? Sounds like he has spent a lot of time thinking about "IT"!!! Studies have shown most homophobic males are unsure of their own sexuality.. Glad Hardaway is not playing B Ball with me!!!!!!!!!!!

It's comments like this that just goes to show how ignorant and stupid most Black athletes are.Two Black coach's in the super bowl is the exception and not the norm because of the stupidity and ignorance that obviously is run rampont throughout the Black Population. It is no coinsidance also that this kind of attitude among Blacks perpetuate the spread of AIDS in the Black community. Way to go Tim you have just confirmed what many people believe about Black people. That they are ignorant and stupid.
