Scottie Pippen told
friend to bloggers everywhere Chicago Tribune columnist Sam Smith that he hopes to make a

comeback to the NBA
this season. Pippen is 41 years old. He claims that he's in the best physical shape that he's been in the last five years (his body fat is reportedly at an all-time low 5 percent and weighs an ideal 220 pounds)
"I'm thinking of trying to come back for the playoffs," Pippen said. "Something like the last two months of the season, somewhere I can come back and play limited minutes to start, play point forward for someone and build toward the playoffs. It's something I've been thinking about for the last three months."
"Taking this break, it feels amazing. I'm looking at somewhere I could play maybe 15 minutes. I'm not trying to be a big-money guy or anything, [just trying to] get with a team I can help in the playoffs.
"My knee is good," Pippen said. "I've been working out regularly, doing drills. I see my body like guys like Kareem (Abdul-Jabbar, who played till he was 42) and Robert Parish (who played until just short of 44). My body is lanky and flexible like theirs. That gives me some hope I can do it."
"I'm moving good. I feel pretty fast and you don't forget the game. I watch and see so many young guys who don't know how to run a team and I feel I could help someone."
The amazing thing is that, despite his age and the fact that he hasn't played in about three years, he could be a key piece on a title contender. In fact, I can't think of a single team in the League that wouldn't benefit from having this Hall of Famer on its roster. Let's just hope he's telling the truth about his physical condition.

I'd buy a Pip jersey if he goes somewhere with decent uni's (although, there aren't alot of good uni's left)
Good fit for the LAKERS and KOBE.
If LA goes for Pippen, I think they would need a stronger shooter to match Kobe with in the back court. Just a guy that will play like a pure shooting guard and take pressure of Kobe if Pippen is going to be a quality #2 leader.
Now that's good news. Always fun to watch. Certainly earned his hall of fame status. Should have spend the whole year with Boston; then THEY might be in the playoffs.
I'VE BEEN A LAKERS FAN FOR THE LAST 11 YRS THROUGH THE GOOD AND BAD TIMES.THE LAKERS PICKING HIM UP WOULD BE A GREAT ADDITION,ESPECIALLY IF THEY PICK UP JASON KIDD TOO BEFORE THE TRADE DEADLINE.MMMM KOBE, PIPPEN, KIDD, AND ODOM.IM THINKING 2007 NBA CHAMPIONS.
AFTER FIVE HORRID GAMES THE LAKERS HAVE PLAYED I WOULD WELCOME PIPPEN TO LA WITH THE BIGGEST SMILE ON MY FACE!!! PIPPEN WOULD HELP KOBE AND MAYBE PUSH LAMAR TO STEP IT UP A BIT.
He would be a good addition for Wade at Miami, they just need that kind of help now to make the playoffs.
the cavs need him for a shot at nba title.
Game might be a little to fast for pip but i wouldnt mind to see him give it a shot in new jersey
Gotta love Pippen. He'd be a great fit in Miami or LA.
If Scottie Pippen is as healthy as he say he is then by all means let him play again.
ITS KOBE TIME BABY!!!!!
ITS KOBE TIME BABY!!!!
the lakers need that extra lift to get them through this season and if Pippen does make a come back then why not.Maybe the days of Pippen and Jordan can be rekindled through the next MJ(Kobe Bryant)
I remember Scotty holding up Michael Jordan in a game in which Michael had the flu and it was Scotty who helped the the legend off the court. Will Michael be ther to help Scotty off the court? Jokes aside, if Scotty's opinon is correct, he'd be and excellent addition with his experience and knowledge to any playoff contender.
Pippen has had a good career and he should leave it like that. Stay home and watch like me. See you on 10100 and Oglesby.
I am a Lakers Fan and would love to see PIP reunited with Phil and give the Lakers a Hall of Famer to lift our young team. The Lakers would Welcome you with open arms.
I think Scottie Pippen would be a great add on to any team in the league. He brings in experience. He would be a great addition to the Chicago Bulls. They don't have one guy on that team that is a true leader/go-to guy. I think Pip would help they psyche out a lot. He would be a great asset and would get these young players more motivated and play consistently. GO PIPPEN!!!
Forget it Scotie. Your in fantasy land. You are three years removed from 5 years past your prime. Sure, you don't forget the game but working out is a lot different from entering an NBA playoff run, especially for a 42 year old who has not played at his own best in 8 years and not at all in three.
He is jus in it for the money and the fame he will get. He wants to get back in the NBA to get into the playoffs and maybe win another championship. He want to get back in for all the wrong reason. He should jus stay retired. No good can come from this and I'm sure no team would won't him.
