Dennis Rodman may want to be voted into the Hall of Fame, but he's not making it easy on himself. No, I'm not talking about another high-profile incident that may taint his reputation (if that's still possible), but rather his resistance to simply hanging up his sneakers. From the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle:The Moe the merrier for the Rochester RazorSharks? As we mentioned last month, a player needs to stop playing professional basketball for at least five years before he can be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Granted, the Worm hasn't appeared in an NBA game since the 2000 season, but he's since had stints in the ABA, the British Basketball League as well as a game in Finland. I don't know if appearing as the "13th" man for an ABA team technically resets the clock for eligibility, but if so I hope his over-whelming need to be recognized now won't outweigh common sense.
The American Basketball Association's defending champions are negotiating with former NBA star Dennis Rodman to play in one of the final two regular-season home games (Tuesday or Thursday of next week) as the team's celebrity "13th Man."
Rodman might not score more points than popular bar owner Moe Alaimo did last Thursday night in his cameo appearance (two), but he'd probably grab more rebounds.

You know how they try to vote guys into the Hall Of Fame before they die? Rodman will be the first guy that voters will actually try to wait until he dies before they put him in. The NBA will fear him cursing, whipping it out, wearing a thong, etc... during the award ceremony.
He's what they call a first ballot posthumous baller.

I visited with Dennis last night at a local Laguna Beach nightclub. As usual, he was with a beautiful girl. He was very friendly, and I appreciate his willingness to interact in public as just "one of the guys." If someone offers him an opportunity to play, then I'll bet he will contribute and add a few beauties to the crowd... AJ in Laguna

OK, he can play, he probably still got mad skills, but exactly HOW LONG does he want to play? I mean, Michael Jordan's retirement and comeback was already pityful enough to watch, and he didn't even wear a dress.

I like Dennis. If he marches to a different beat, then it's probably because he's a one man band. When you are the greatest rebounder in basketball history, you don't have to march to anyboy else's music. Dennis keep playing your own music and stay in step with yourself. They can't hiode or deny the truth.

If he could act somewhat normal than my favorite team, the Cavs could use him. He could rebound, defend and bring energy of the bench for this young squad. As long as he could avoid wearing dresses and partying every night and day, I wouldn't mind having him on my fav team.

Rodman was one rebounding fool...I still remember the Pistons and how he grabbed rebounds and started the break and set up his teamates unselfishly. Rebounder yes.....Ballhog he wasn't. He was a rebounder period.
With all the bricks thrown up these days he would still lead the league in rebounds. PARTY on WORM, Hell I would too since the world gets bleaker day by day

Hey "the mike deez"......can you crawl FURTHER up the freak's ass? Rodman was a good rebounder.....but a complete train wreck and really started the whole "thugery" phase of what used to be a great game. By the way....doesn't it stink real bad where you are?

dennis may one day get into the hall of fame but he's going to have to pay for admission just like the rest of us. So if he thinks he can still play and a team wants the circus in town on a nightly basis, go ahead and bring him back i'm all for it
