McHale Named Best in the Biz; Own Players Confused

Forbes Magazine, the highly-respected financial publication, made the insane curious decision of naming Kevin McHale the best GM in all of sports. The magazine's logic seems to be that since the Timberwolves improved so much (Forbes used some fancy math to determine that Minny has enjoyed a winning improvement of 235 during McHale's 11 year reign) during his tenure, he must be the best.

If you're scratching your head over this, don't worry, you're not alone. Even McHale's own players are having trouble making sense of it all.
"No. 1 best or No. 1 worst?" a surprised Timberwolves player said before tipoff Sunday.
There's gotta be someone in Kevin McHale's corner, someone who thinks he deserves such high praise. Someone like a former teammate.
"This was national? This wasn't 'Forbes-Duluth?' A guy who signed Kevin Garnett to a $100-plus-million contract? Well, I am slightly surprised. But God bless him."
Guess not.

Another surprising choice by the magazine was ranking Sixers GM Billy King third best in all of sports. Forbes' ranking system makes no sense whatsoever, because GMs who have had infinitely more team success than McHale and King (such as Joe Dumars at No. 15, Jerry West at No. 33, Larry Bird at No. 36 and Donnie Nelson at No. 40) all received significantly lower rankings.
