Zach Randolph has been less than a model citizen during his time in Portland, and this latest incident definitely won't be helping to improve that reputation. The Portland Tribune is reporting that Randolph was spotted at a strip club late Tuesday night, after a game in which he did not play in due to being granted a "bereavement leave" from the team to attend a funeral.
Not only was Randolph spotted at the strip club, but it appears that he also enjoyed a few libations and other um, entertainment, before skipping out without paying his tab:
"He didn't pay his tab - $106," said John, a bartender who wasn't working Tuesday night but had the story related to him by others. "He'll make it up to (the waitress), though." The club manager, Joel (he asked his last name not be used), confirmed the account.
"He was here, just for a minute," the manager said.
What time was Randolph at the club? "Late," Joel said.
What about Randolph's unpaid bill? "He just forgot," Joel said. "He'll pay it next time."
The amount of the tab is nothing compared to what other athletes are rumored to spend in these types of places, but I love the confidence of the manager that Randolph will definitely be back. Blazers' coach Nate McMillan didn't immediately condemn Randolph's actions:
"He felt he needed to go. It's a death in the family ... you get a feel for what you need to do ... I'm not going to get into it any further."
I guess we all grieve the loss of a loved one in different ways.

If he was just spotted at a bar having a few drinks the night after a funeral, it wouldn't be a big deal. Because the bar happened to be in a strip club, it shouldn't be that big of an issue either. He obviously is a regular at the club, so why not go somewhere that he's comfortable after a funeral?
I've been there & done that (except for walking out on my bill). You just want to get away from everything & everybody & just relax. Nobody is going to bother you & you can just forget about everything that has been going on for a little while.
What was said on the radio report I heard was that his "long time girlfriend" has been shot and killed.
If that's true...the word "sleazeball" comes to mind.
In life you have to do what comes naturally to ease your heart, mind, body, and soul, the man is human and he did what he had to do to be at ease in mourning
It doesn't make him a bad person it simply makes him HUMAN. It bothers me when people judge without looking in the mirror at themselves. Theres a lot of dirt in the closet people out there that will judge you beacause they don't want to think about there own mis behavin's at least he had nothing to hide and i can respect that!!!!!!
Damn.....How many times have i gone out and forgot to pay the tab? Yeah, happens all the time..........LMAO....At least no firearms were involved, maybe he got a call from Pac-Man Jones and they had to go to a NCA meeting......No Class Anonymous
Give Zwacko a break. Most folks in the U.S. don't know that Portland's got full nude titty bars on every corner. It's a regular right of passage by twenty something's here to be coaxed out of one's cash by young, dumb hotties. So what? You expect him to hang at Kell's Irish Pub all night? Sure. It was his g-friend's drama. All us guys with gals know what kinda zing zone she probly had him in for the last few days. A man needs a little time off from Days of Our Lives. What's more important is the SMACKDOWN he's gonna lay on KG and the rest of the Twig-puppies tomorrow after this much needed rest. The local rags can't stop beatin' the "Blazers are better without Zach" drums, but I'm quite sure STAT MAN gonna stick a sock in that. GO BLAZERS!!!!
The Blazers are undefeated without Zach, That said in Oregon as the state slogan goes "Things are different here". The term strip club in Oregon is different, check out this recent Oregon State court rueling on strip clubs. . . http://www.traditionalvalues.org/modules.php?sid=2458 So now that we got the idea of an Oregon strip club in mind, Coach says, we all have are ways of grieving. Lets say we do some grieving with Zach. . . Animal
Idiot! I'd fire his ass on the spot.
