So far, Michael Jordan's tenure with the Bobcats has been a disappointment. His role has never been clear. He's been fined for commenting on Durant, criticized for his exclusive access to high school stars, and attempted to whitewash the job he did in the Wizards' front office. But at least you couldn't say he's actively gotten in the way. Until now, that is. With Vince Carter likely to opt out of his contract this summer, and Bobcats in desperate need of a scorer, Charlotte should be a likely destination. Factor in his affinity for the state of North Carolina and the franchise's ample cap space, and this might as well be a done deal.
There's one problem, though: bad blood between Jordan and Vince. From Rick Bonnell's Inside the NBA:
Vince Carter was pretty chilly Saturday night, when I asked him how he'd react if Michael Jordan recruits him in free agency this summer. In case you've forgotten, once upon a time Jordan criticized Carter's lack of defense. MJ is notoriously frank, and Vince incredibly sensitive. With Bonnell claiming that "it was clear from his remark Saturday that Carter is still wounded by Jordan's shot," we'll see if Jordan actually ends up hurting the Bobcats with his presence.
"I doubt that he would," Carter replied, and you could almost see his breath for the frigid tone.

You really thing not getting Vince Carter is "hurting the Bobcats" that much? If they can get a big man who contributes and stays healthy, I think that would help more than adding a SG/PG to the Carroll, Wallace, Morrison, and Herrmann mix. There's a lot of potential there. Granted, none of them have shown they can put up 24, 6, and 5 consistently, they're also all younger than Carter.
MJ is not a vince fan. Stop trying to make a story out of notthing.
heyyyy!!! how are you Vince Carter answers very will
MJ one of the greatest (if not the greatest) players to ever play the game but I'm not a fan of MJ in a managerial capacity. He has not distinguished himself very well there. That being said, i agree wholeheartedly with his indictment of Carter. That guy has no heart and the only way he can ever win a championship is if he shows he's true colours as a punk and pulls a Gary Payton. He can never be the man because he has no passion and no stamina. His blistering natural skills are dwarfed by his fatal flaw as a man...he is weak willed and immature. Jordan would be right in not recruiting Carter because of Carter's insipid attitude. Carter is not the sort of role model you would want young players to follow.
michael jordan is right but not a good thing to say about another professional. he is supposed to an adult. i think carter should stay in nj.
if vince becomes faster and better on defense and works on getting his legs back over the summer do u think he could become one of the best players today?
MJ WON"T HURT THE BOBCATS,NOR WILL VINCE CARTER BUT YOU PEOPLE{THE FANS}WILL. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS SHUT UP, SIT BACK & LET THEM DO WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO.
