For the non-geeks out there, World of Warcraft is an online game that is freaking popular, that's about all you really need to know. And if you have doubts of the content of the video, no worries, myself, along with YouTube commenter LF39MC, know enough Mandarin to know Yao's really talking about a Tauren Warrior killing his hunter and his pet bird.
This video is hilarious on multiple levels:
- Yao is eating throughout the whole interview
- the interviewer's questions are dead serious
- head nod to whoever that's editing the whole thing adding along character descriptions on the side
Move over Gilbert Arenas, your late night Halo binges don't compare to the cult followers of WoW.
A Tauren warrior, eh? Joakim Noah tells me that Yao obviously was taking a shot at his teammate Taurean Green (Tauren due to translational errors, of course), and that he's "Not going to stand for this disrespecting of the people's champion Florida Gators." He also said this when his BLT came with no "T" on it.
Sometimes I wish somebody would hit him with a steel chair.
And yes, I did order Wrestlemania. I think I need to be taken out back and shot.

If Yao just eats constantly, he never gets to that half-hour-later-he's-hungry-again thing.

I can personally tell you that Yao Ming IS talking about World of War Craft. (I'm Chinese and I'm pretty fluent in the Chinese language)
I am suprised the interviewer could mainain such a normal voice
The clearest part in the video is probably when he's talking about the horse's speed and the "Taurean" warrior killing his pet

Nah. That problem is only for fat-assed Amurikans, who only feel full after stuffing their faces with cheeseburgers and Freedom Fries.
