Player Blogs: Bosh In, Arenas Out

Things just get worse and worse for Gilbert Arenas. He gets injured and will miss the playoffs. His team has become the laughingstock of the postseason, before the darn thing's even started. And now, he's lost his featured blogger spot on NBA.com.

Yes, via Sam Rubenstein over at SLAM, we've learned that Chris Bosh will now be the league's star blogger-athlete:

From a personality standpoint, Chris is usually described as quiet and intelligent. He claims in this post that he's not as quiet as everyone thinks he is, so he should have a lot to say. He also goes on to brag about how nerdy he is. Respect that man.
Like a lot of fans, I'm ready to jump on the Raptors bandwagon. But that's just mostly because I need some reason to watch the East. Bosh was kind of the forgotten man of the Class of the 2003, but now he's looking like a future MVP candidate. We've already pointed to Bosh as someone who might surprise us in the personality department, and here's hoping we're proven right. One early gem: "I like to talk and I've been told I'm funny." I like to think that's supposed to be amusing.

It makes sense Arenas would go, since he's not headed to the playoffs and most likely, his team won't be there for long. And honestly, I think Arenas--and NBA fans--could use a break from his long bask in the limelight. That's said as someone who has followed him religiously since year one.
