Morning Hardwood: Some Results Are In

A little slacker, and more generous, than usual...

Lakers are in. It took 50 from Kobe, which doesn't bode well for their playoff chances. But the 109-98 win over Seattle kept them from utter shame.

Warriors up, Clips down. The Warriors continued to amaze, hitting up the T-Wolves 121-108. The Clippers lost to Sacramento 105-100. It's now up to the Warriors to stay hot and inject some intrigue into these playoffs. Oh, and Ricky Davis would be steamed if I didn't tell you he had 42 in the Minnesota loss.

Magic earn trip back in. Beating Boston 88-86 might not be much to celebrate. But if you're the Orlando Magic, and it's your first postseason opportunity in four years, you celebrate. Behind Hedo's 20 points and YT's 14 boards, they narrowly edged out that peskily competitive Boston squad. I'll say this again--with the way these two franchises are headed, what are the chances these roles are reversed next year?

Some more business. Raps clinch the third seed with their 107-105 win over the Knicks. That's home court for sure in the first round. And when NJ glides past the Pacers 111-107, they also put a merciful end to Indianapolis's disappointing season. Some teams just have no business being alive for the eighth seed.
