The lid of the Minnesota Timberwolves franchise has officially been flipped: from excellent Wolves blog I Heart KG.com we learn that Target Center security booted two fans from the game last night for waving around 'Fire McHale' paraphernalia.
Kevin McHale, of course, is the best executive in sports. Or not. Here's I Heart KG's Lil Dice:
The guy with the sign [pictured above] was one of two people booted from the game for walking around with anti-McHale signs late in the 4th quarter. The other guy kicked out was also wearing a "Fire McHale" t-shirt. From the way they were handled by security, you would have thought they were buying underage girls alcohol at a sold out Slayer show instead of providing 30 seconds worth of entertainment during a lackluster game in an almost empty arena.It's not clear what, if anything, the fans did to deserve expulsion other than have a brain and two eyes. Even if they were heckling McHale or any other Wolf decision-maker, shouldn't the franchise be glad someone showed up to witness the greatest two-week tank job in the history of sports? Hopefully, we hear more about this episode. Maybe it is actually (shock!) lead to some changes in Minny as McHale continues to prove he is terrible at his job.

I believe the tickets to these types of affairs carry language which basically strips you of any right to express disfavour (love that British spelling!LOL!) by letting the team force anyone to leave for basically any reason (seriously, READ the back of your ticket stubs). This is rarely enforced and last night's T'Wolves reaction was way overboard. This is in line with the way corporations treat customers (and employees) during this coming age of American fascism. Thanks a lot, BushCoFraud.
Unless the fans who werewearing the offensive t-shirt and sign were physically bothering the fans in the arena they shouldn't have been thrown out of the arena for expressing their feelings of Kevin McHale. But the golden rule applies Kevin McHale has the gold and he ruled that the two fans leave the building by police escort. Way to go Kevin losing your customer base.

Thats bull that these guys get kicked out for that. What is this, NAZI America? It'd be one thing if they were creating a violent or disorderly disturbance but they are paying fans and they deserve to voice their opinion no matter how critical it is of the organization they love. At least they care to show up and do that unlike your average fair weather fan.
