The Warriors won last night, advancing to the second round of the playoffs over the #1 Mavs ... can you "believe" it? The fans at Golden State sure can. (Is the "believing" theme ever going to get old? Probably not until the Warriors show signs of slowing down.)
Next stop is either Houston or Utah and there's no reason not to believe the Dubs might be able to triumph in that round too. Which means we may be treated to many, many more playoff games featuring the Association's most creative fans.
These two gentleman believe in The Beard. Continue reading for more pictures of believing fans from last night's historic Game Six upset.

I saw 2 of the best, maybe the two best, SMALL forwards at the O'town Arena, which by the way, was where Parliament sang Swing Down Sweet Chariot (& Let Me Ride). Let them ride!
A huge shout to Bernard, oh, and the Doc.

Dirk as MVP this year would be like when they gave David Robinson the MVP that belonged to Hakeem, and the big Muslim beat him like a half-black stepchild in the playoffs.

the Miami Heat beat dallas last year even though wade and shaq were hurt. dallas continuously cried because they didn't win. they are a bunch of cry babies like their owner.
this year, they're already crying again. who are they going to blame this year. dallas shouldn't have been in the playoffs this year or last year. they are an average team that needs to completely rebuild. that should take about 3 years.

I want to know who on Golden State sold their soul to the Devil? How does a sub par team come out and hit half court shots like its nothing, makes every circus shot, makes every 3 pointer, gets every loose ball and offensive board, does not committ fouls and plays intense D constantly. I mean shit i have never in my life seen a team play like GS, my lid is blown off. Was is the beard, did it have special powers? Was it constructed of Air Jordans pubic hairs? I must know...............................

13 shots? 13 shots? I don't think Jordan, Kobe, or Bird would have gone down taking only 13 shots. If Jordan had 48 minutes left in his season he was going to shoot 48 times. 13 shots? I dont want to hear about "cold spells". Everyone has cold spells. You know what Jordan did when he had a cold spell - fake left, fake right and "GO TO THE HOLE!!!!!". Kobe, pump fake, stutter step and
"GO TO THE HOLE". Dirk, get upset, get frustrated and hoist up a few more three pointers. For God's sake he's 7 foot tall!!!!! There wasn't a single Warrior within 3 inches of his height. M.V.PLEASSSEEEE

The Mavericks just straight up were not the better team. This is no fluke. It is a best of seven series and Dallas was completely blown out in the final game.

I kinda feel sorry for dirk, but he was the man who didn't come thru. However, i noticed mark cuban in the closing minutes actually sitting there, moping and looking surly. he couldn't blame the refs, so he had nothing constructive to say. too bad. it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Living here on the East Coast, we don't have much of an opportunnity to see the Warriors play. So, needless to say, I've enjoyed watching them beat the next So-called NBA champion. (Mavs) Oh, I forgot, they lost. Hmm, as they say, "wait until next year!"
Dirk lacks that killer instinct.

Right on!!
That was a game to be at! To the point where people were cheering not knowing the score (how often does that happen).
Hmmm... I think Golden State needs a new critic (then again it's much nicer to make fun of Charles).
Thnx for getting my poster up there :D

Complete non-sequitur, but Miss Gossip, did you catch Game 4 of the Spurs-Nuggets? Iverson had some sweet braids (http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/photos?photoId=1560554&gameId=270430007), but Melo came out with the absolute sicket cornrows I'd ever seen. http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/photos?photoId=1560561&gameId=270430007
You HAVE to post about those!

Thanks for the pics, Ken! I pretty much always love AI's 'rows. The picture you linked of Carmelo's actually do look really nice, but for some reason during the game I was *not* feeling that look. A little too scalpy or something. And so complex! Those two guys should have spent those hours getting braided up getting ready for the game instead. I can only hope they were at least watching film.
