After the Spurs and Suns split two games in Phoenix, the scene now shifts to San Antonio for Game 3. All of the talk after the Suns' Game 2 victory has been about Amare's accusations that Bruce Bowen and the rest of the Spurs are dirty. Video evidence suggests that Bowen is at least, um, less than clean at times on defense.
The Spurs, being the
- Don't know about you all, but I'm a huge fan of this lower camera angle. Especially in HD, really gives you a better perspective and a feeling like you're in the arena.
- Parker opens the game guarding Nash. Talk about speed versus speed, this should be fun to watch.
- Shawn Marion hits a three, welcome to the offensive end of this series, 'Trix.
- Definitely goal-tending there, and for the most part Spurs fans know their basketball. Only a few half-hearted boos in protest. If this was Utah, there would have been a near riot and a loud AWWWWW BOOOOOOO!!
- Jon Barry's correct as he laughingly tells Thomas to "shoot the J, Kurt." Thomas off the dribble is something the Spurs would love to see more of.
- Timmy came to play tonight. A strong dunk there, a long bank shot earlier, nine early points.
- Now just as I compliment him, Duncan has to go and start bitching about an obvious foul on Amare. Whiny Tim in full effect.
- More discussion on the "dirty" play from Bowen. I've discussed Bowen's tactics at length, bottom line is that I don't think he's trying to hurt people necessarily. I think he is trying to intimidate though by making players think twice about going up in the air on him.
- OH, Soudemire hammers Finley there. Wonder if the Spurs will look to retaliate later.
- The dirty chant from the fans for Amare, but they're doing it while Finley's at the foul line. They should wait until Stoudemire's at the line, maybe those fans aren't as bright as I thought.
- Well, no Amare for a while, he just picked up his second foul. THAT's when you chant at someone, Sours fan, when they're walking to the bench.
- Diaw with a couple of nice plays in a row, maybe he got a little action from his best friend's girl before the game.
- Suns defense is impressive, blocking everything inside right now. Honestly, the Spurs are playing kind of stupid on offense, forcing shots instead of running things through Timmy like they were earlier.
- Classic Ginobili there, behind-the-back dribble then flailing to the basket for the layup. Luckily for fans in the first row, there were no Suns nearby so Manu didn't have the chance to flop.
- Two nice plays from Oberto, first the pass then the shot. Just as I was about to criticize the Suns for letting the Spurs close it up to end the quarter, Barbosa gets the and-1 opportunity. He definitely plays faster than I can type.
- Suns shoot 60% (wow!) from the field and lead 30-25 after one.

I have no problem with Spurs fans booing Amare. He did call them dirty after all, but can they at least boo consistently? By the time they realize it's him with the ball, he has made a shot before they start booing!

Spurs close the half on a 16-5 run. Are you Suns fans going to continue your whining and complaining today. Losers and victims whine and complain all the time. Stoudemire is the dirty player. he is covering for his own dirtiness by calling the Spurs dirty. Nice attempt to take off a smaller guys head Finley and injure him Amare. What a dirty whining team Phoenix is.

Bag off Rick. Look at Bowen intentionally knee Nash. Spurs are floppers and dirty players. They can't win unless officials help them. Tripping is allowed oh yeah.

Kurt Thomas holding on to Duncans jersey the whole game. Ginobili pushed out of bounds at the 7 minute mark by a Phoenix player and no calls at all?? NBC spotlights Thomas holding on Duncans jersey and as soon as it goes to live action Kurt Thomas grabs it again! Kurt Thomas the Duncan stopper!!! Kurt Thomas you da man! Great defense holding Tim's shirt!

The Spurs are class all the way. They do not need to give cheap shots to win.The Suns have some good players, however they need to stop whining and start playing, maybe the Suns should focus more on the game.Whining will only frustrate them more and they will choke down the streach.Ginobili is the key.

When the Spurs don't have 8 players on the court all at one time, I would love to see what they are made of. The NBA officials are the worst!!!!The Spurs are the biggest losers going. Whiner's???? They are the whiners...

Jack B now you wish death on me. First you all whine about officiating now you tell me to go die. What a sore loser, but I would expect nothing less from your whining complaining fans. SPURS WIN...SUNS WHINE!!
Nash is the one telling it like it is because he is classy. he missed his shots and he admitted they need to play harder and not get caught up with silly things like officiating....but I guess that is all you Phoenix fans have left huh?

Little Ricky,
Nash or any other member of the NBA can't complain about the rotten refs. They'd be fined for it. Or in the Suns/Spurs series, they would give the Suns another Technical during a non-play and the Spurs would get another free point towards their "get your free games" from the refs. Counting 2 so far.

NBA Officials are the worst officials in all sports bar none. They stink at best and change the momentum of a game at worst. I don't know how any player, coach, or fan can know what is or isn't a foul because it changes from game to game, player to player, and even in the time it takes to go from one end of the court to the other. I am so disgusted with the officiating I find it hard to watch sometimes. Pretty soon I'll just turm it off. If we all did that maybe they'd do something about it.
