Pistons' fans had at least one thing to cheer about during their team's Game 4 loss to the Bulls, and NBA fans were treated to their second ridiculous dunk of the weekend. Check out Flip Murray using Hinrich's chin as a step ladder, continuing to elevate even after making contact before he jams it home.

...except for that Kirk was not within the circle and was not a secondary defender, which by the NBA rulebook is what constitutes that call. Pretty easy to dunk on Hinrich taking a charge (assuming you can dunk in the first place).

The guys at blogabull.com immediately began calling Flip Murray a 'thug' and thought he should have been T'd up for staring at the alien after that nuts in the face (and fist) jam. I thought Flip was just watching him to see if he was injured. Didn't even know Flip had those kind of hops in his legs.
Kudos for the bulls on the 'gutt check' victory though. Perhaps the town won't storm Skiles house with torches and nooses in the off season now.

Murray had to spoil a great play by acting like a 2 yr. old. Murray obviously does not show the same professionalism that the rest of his team shows. Plus the Pistons were losing by 19 at the time. I had no opinion of Murray until that play. Now he is a "thug".

COME ON PEOPLE!! I hear all these people complaining about the dunk and how "Flip" acted like a 2 year old. One, if you can't dunk, have never dunked a basketball on someone you have no clue what a rush that is. I'm not talking about dunking a basketball on your adjustable 6 foot rim with a sand-base. Understand it's the playoffs and to compete on that level requires more confidence and talent then you'll ever.

How could you call Flip a "Thug"....Kobe Bryant does the same thing when HE dunks on someone... is HE a thug? I've seen Lebron do it too when he dunked on someone...does that make him a thug....PLEASE...just because someone stares someone down after a dunk in the face doesn't make them a thug.....that's sending a message to them that if you get in my way you will have nuts in yo' face...

I'd stare him down too if he punched me in the groin. Didn't know Heiny had the guts to pull a Bruce Bowen.

Mr. TSC!
This comment is solely for you. Please can you explain why Flip is a thug? Is it cso of the wonderful "in your face" dunk, or cos of the contact, or cos he checked to see that Hinrich was alright after the contact. ........Please explain to us. What he could have done after the contact in order not to be called a thug.
