Cavaliers @ Pistons Game 5: 2nd Overtime Live Blog

Cavaliers @ Pistons | 1st Qtr | 2nd Qtr | 3rd Qtr | 4th Qtr/1st OT

I'm dying over here ...

-- LeBron hits a long jumper -- that's 41 on the night, one more than The Big Lead said he'd get in his preview tonight. Does it count? He needed an extra period and change. I'll give it to him.

-- Boobie fouls out with 11 points -- it's Eric Snow Time the rest of the way. Advantage: Detroit.

-- Snow is out, Damon Jones is in. Advantage: Detroit by a mile. Rip Hamilton abuses him for a jump, Detroit up two.

-- Turnover Prince -- he passed it right to LeBron. That stings, he's had some problems late in the game.

-- Who said LeBron isn't clutch? (Umm ... I did.) He's making his haterz look like fools with these step-back jumpers. 104-104 with 1:35 left.

-- Wow -- Chris Webber, who hasn't been in the end of a game since forever, posts up Z and nails a clutch turnaround-hook-type shot (too awkward to put into words, really). Then he gets the and one, causing Big Z to foul out, and then he nails the and one.

-- Double wow -- LBJ quickly ties with a three. He's scored the last 23 for the Cavs and 27 of 28. 107-107.

-- This is intense: Varejao gets his shot blocked, then after fumbling for the ball he falls to the ground where Chauncey appears to foul him (I mean he just reamed into him with his shoulder) -- but it's waved off! 24 second violation on the Cavs, Pistons ball tie game, 29 seconds left.

Continue along after the jump ... unless Eastern Conference ball just isn't exciting enough for you.

-- Rasheed misses on the block, Cleveland rebounds and calls a timeout with 11.4 seconds left. Sheed thought he was hit, but he always does.

-- LeBron drives the line, gets past Chauncey and splits two defenders to hit a little scoop shot at the rim with 2.2 left. Why no Detroit players decided to just nail him and make them earn it at the line is beyond me. Also, if it's that easy for him to score at will, why doesn't he do it the whole game?

-- Pistons call a timeout, Chauncey gets the ball and drives ... shoots ... slight deflection by Varejao ... ball hits both sides of the rim ... miss. Buzzer. Game over.

LeBron scored roughly 48 bajillion points tonight, including the last 25 gazillion for the Cavs. He looked dead tired during his post-game talk with Craig Sager. Cleveland goes up 3-2 in the series, and I want to throw up. Count on hearing about LeBron's performance tonight for roughly, oh I don't know, forever.
