As I prepared to attempt to parse Nate McMillan's new roster, Henry Abbott posts this scoop at TrueHoop: Kevin Pritchard told the Portland media last night that the team has essentially completed another trade that can not be announced owing to league restrictions.Abbott also points to this post by Blazers employee Mike Barrett which has James Jones (a small forward) heading to Portland in conjunction with the Rudy Fernandez pickup.
"I'm probably getting fined already," he says, in press conference audio on Oregonlive.
For Portland, Pritchard says the move will bring a small forward.
So is Channing Frye or Petteri Koponen or another Blazer headed back to Phoenix? Is Jones the small forward Pritchard refers to, or is there another one he's seeking?
With something like 17 players by my count under contract, Portland's got to keep wheeling. I'd venture to say Pritchard's trying to spring Darius Miles by packaging him with some of these youngsters.

Heard the rumor earlier today from the kansagonian. But, I don't think it's Miles. How about Grant Hill or Leandro Barbosa?

James Jones was traded for cash. The Suns didn't get anything else in the deal. They plan on keeping the core team and tweak the bench. Kerr said Never, NEVER were Stoudemire OR Marion were ever offered in any trade deal or will be. He had to sit or call Stoudemire at least 3xs to assure him he wasn't getting traded. Someone needs to go kick some ESPN asses for these rumors! What good are these reporters?
Grant Hill will be offered to sign with the Suns, but no details are allowed until July 1.

Grant Hill is going home, to Detriot where he belongs. Dumars is going to bring him back to where it all started.
