Isiah's Brilliance Again Documented

Remember Anucha Browne Sanders? She's the former Knicks executive who sued Isiah Thomas for sexual harassment last year. She's not done with Isiah, though, according to the Associated Press.

Browne Sanders alleges cheerleader Petra Pope told her Thomas encouraged Pope to flirt with officials before a game against the Nets in 2004. [...].

"What she told me was that Isiah asked her to go into the referees' locker room and make them happy," Browne Sanders testified.

Zeke wasn't coaching the Knicks at the time; he was just trying to get his boy Lenny Wilkens some wins. Pope left the Knicks shortly thereafter, getting an executive position with the Nets. She managed the Lakers girls in the 80s, too -- so Isiah wasn't exactly sending a naive, bubbly 22-year-old over at Bennett Salvatore.

All told, is such a directive truly scandalous? Not to me. However, it will probably help define Isiah as the Knicks chief more than his recent flash of genius in landing Zach Randolph. It's hard to come back from years as a punchline.

the operative word is and should be 'alleged'..accusations should not be treated as a point of fact when the circustances cannot be verified beyound any reason of doubt

Isiah is prepaired to silence all of his critics! Getting Randolph for what he gave up is nothing more than a coup. I almost think the league had something to do with it!

Since I have some time and I love ripping Zeke, Zach,and the Knicks,I can't wait for all the Knick fans to find out what B Roy, myself, and the rest of Portland already know. Portland got the better deal.The only sad part of it all is we had to give up solid guys in Fred J and Dan D. Thomas is as bad of a judge of pro talent as he is at making personal decisions.

Sorry, but this girl is just looking for money! I met Mr. Thomas both at school (St. Joes), and in public at restaurants and such, and he was always very respectable and nice! I know it has been many years, but I do not think time would change someone so much that they would do something so out of character! This woman needs to leave the man alone and let him do his job. One thing I do wish though, I really should have kept Mr. THomas' autograph! Too bad the napkin finally disinigrated!!
