Everyone's favorite bilingual spaz (Minnesota reserve Mark Madsen) had a date with jet ski last week. It didn't go so well. But Mad Dog did score an evening with surgeons, and now he's looking forward to nice 3-month rehab session. Good times."This was an unfortunate accident that I have put behind me," Madsen said in a statement issued by the team. "My focus now is to concentrate on my rehabilitation with the goal of returning to the basketball court as quickly as possible."If the Wolves planned on giving Madsen more than a pittance of minutes as the Youth and Beauty Brigade takes the reins, it'd be more than an unfortunate accident. It'd be like when Half Pipe Radmanovic busted his shoulder in Park City last year and the Lakers whispered about 'contract nullification.'
No matter: Everyone loves Mad Dog, and no one drawing a Timberwolves paycheck really cares Mad Dog won't suit up opening night against the Nuggets. (Unfortunately for Mad Dog, though: He'll miss Minny's tour of Europe, including games in Istanbul and London. Too bad; I hear the Sea of Marmara is killer.) Still, he'll have more time to chat up the FanHousers who improbably made it into his Facebook network. That's a win for us all.

People care about the nba? Bwaahahahahahahah.
Overpaid prima donnas in the nba. The refs had to bet on the games to make them interesting. It's hard trying to ref when you're asleep. The nba! Bwaahahahahahaha.
Yawn
Boycott the nba!!!
Dude, first of all, this guy sucks. Second, the NBA is awful. Nobody cares.
Hey, people who don't care about the NBA? Feel free to, you know, show you don't care by not commenting just to say "I don't care."
Dude, are you really serious? This guy BLOWS!!! Who really cares about anything that has to do with pro hoops! The NBA sucks! Spoiled thugs ruined that league!!
NBA player? But he doesn't have a 3 carat diamond in each ear.
Come on folks, they're trying. At least it's a mid-western corn fed, NASCAR watchin', white boy.
NBA National Bums Association
he's a nobody anyway ! its not like they need him......lol
EWWWW Russell are we a little racist?
Uneducated Idiots that are tall.
??? Who knew lovable Mad Dog would strike such a chord with the NBA-hater set (or the one NBA-hater guy who comments under 10 different names)?
Inside info says he has gout
I think that anyone that says racist people are not around anymore need to read the aol sports blog. I didn't know the NBA was full of thugs. Last time I checked the NFL had more arrest and issues than the NBA! So, if I am rich and buy a $100,000 rolex I am fine, but if I buy a $100,000 pair of ear rings, or a chain then I am a thug? Rich people in bussiness etc. spend money on houses, paintings, boats, and jewelry without anyone talking about how they spend but if that's not my style and I spend the same amount on things I like then it is somehow wrong. Just think about what some of you idiots are saying. People have a problem with me buying a $150.00 pair of Jordans but if I go to Nordstoms and buy a $300.00 pair of loafers then I am fine?
@ dawson -
Amen.
Yeah and I bet he still gets his $1000000000000 contract money as do all those "professional atheletes" it has gotten wayyyyy out of control.
NASCAR RULES!

I think all professional athletes, owners and media should be ashamed of themselves and all the $100,000 Rolex and ear ring wearing fools too. When we can't find the money to educate our youths or keep the elderly healthy and when America's chief export is entertainment!! We all need to step back and re-evaluate our priorities. I'm not saying people shouldn't get paid for their skills and talent, but to the excess that it is? Find me an athlete who starts and finishes their career in same franchise...few and far between. They are all going to where the money is at. No connection with the city, its people and the team.
