Jay-Z Makes a DeShawn Diss Record

Let's just let the Washington Post 's Michael Lee lay this one in:

The most ridiculously entertaining and completely ridiculous subplot of this Washington Wizards-Cleveland Cavaliers playoff series has reached another stratosphere, after my moles informed me that hip hop legend Jay-Z made a diss record on Friday about DeShawn Stevenson.

You read that right. Jay-Z, the Jigga Man, H-to-the-Izzo, Mr. Beyonce Knowles, made diss record about DeShawn Stevenson that was played at the D.C. night spot Love on Friday night, according to several witnesses. I have not heard the song or the lyrics but I was told that Jay-Z freestyled over the beat for the track, "Blow The Whistle" by rapper Too Short.

Lee says Caron Butler walked out of the club when the DJ replayed the diss track a few times, while Gilbert Arenas considered it an honor that Jay-Z spent time thinking about DeShawn.

Of course, there was a mic involved ... so Damon Jones got involved. He apparently talked "foul stuff" about DeShawn in introducing the Jay-Z track. Stevenson isn't happy about that, nor LeBron James's pressing of the "feud" into personal attacks.

"He says he has a lot of swag, but I don't think that's something to do," Stevenson said about James. "This is basketball. I'm not worried about the song. I'm not worried about what he did. But for Damon Jones to get on the mic. And I heard he was saying foul stuff about me and stuff like that, they're taking it beyond basketball to me."

I believe that LeBron James won the scoring title this year, NOT Gilbert or Deshawn, so they can back off..............and THE CAVS WILL BEAT THEM 3 IN A ROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No doubt King James and Hova had some discussion about this Stevenson talk. You know they are very close. Lebron will take care of him on the court, while Jigga will make him lose any fan base that he has left. "Hey little soldier you aint ready for war, R.O.C. is to strong for ya'll." I don't get it lebron and the cavs are up 3 to 1 and Jay-Z wants to jump in and diss Stevenson I sense a album on the way. i gotta hear stevensons answer track to this one LOL. Stevenson said lebron is overated not j hova. Stevenson is right it is turning into something more than basketball yeah WWE. i personally think that this has all gone a tad to far... the altercation was between stevenson and lebron.. it has absolutely nothing to do with jay-z.. and i personally think he should have stayed out of it.. hes supposedly the strong -dignified -no nonsense- face of hip hop/rap...so why get involved in something that has nothing to do with you directly.. only escalating the battle by recording a song about an athlete... its totally distasteful!! for him to be involved.. especially with the type of forum that he holds. disgusted fan... bel

I was at game 3 in Dc and you wanna talk cocky. lebron is too big for his britches. he thinks he is michael jordan or something. I honestly think Lebron IS overrated. But Stevenson never said he was a better player than James. And yes Jay-Z should have stayed out of it because now he just looks stupid. I used to have respect for him but not anymore. Stevenson never said anything about him and he should have kept his big lips shut.

Stevenson is trying to be a better person by saying "they're taking it beyond basketball". He started the trash talk. Jay-Z is just talking back, sticking up for his boy, but when you flagrantly foul someone like Stevenson did, THAT'S taking it beyond basketball.
Hey, it makes it more fun to watch, I'll tell you that much!
