Well, who is going to allegedly punch or not punch LeBron James now? Darius Songaila is being suspended because his hand hit LeBron's face in Game 5 of the Wizards - Cavaliers series. I use that phrasing because depending on who you listen to, Songaila didn't mean to slap/hit James at all. Of course, usually those people are Wizards fans. I watched it go down and saw it several times on replay, and I'm willing to concede that it wasn't totally purposeful and that Songaila might have just been wrapped up with LeBron, causing the contact that ensued.
Of course, if I was Darius, I would probably want to know what all of those Celtics were still doing at the [New] Garden for Game 5 of their series. Lesson: Don't harass the King, please.

So Songaila gets suspended for this but KG doesn't for his elbow to Zaza's neck, or for pushing a ref. There is no conspiracy, it is fact. What about the season ending game that gave the Cavs home court in the first round. You think this series wouldn't be different had they played the first 2 in dc? Bron is the NBA's favorite Son, even though is face is as weathered as an old catchers mit.

So Diaw and Stoudamire get suspended for coming off of of the bench last year against the Spurs, then there are no suspensions in the Boston-Atlanta series after an altercation (witnessed live by David Stern) in which two players (one Hawk, one Celtcic) leave the bench and Garnett manhandles a referee, and now Songaila is suspended for a punch that was pretty clearly accidental? Stern is a joke -- just as the league is in the midst of potentially the greatest playoffs in quite a while, he has to go and taint it all by unfairly protecting the game's starts. I call bullsh*t.

so, a white guy can punch a player in the face, but when a black player gets into an altercation, they are called animals, suspended and fined thousands of dollars...interesting...
NBA...are you sure you love this game???!
-just a side note, if you looked at the game with the Celtics and Hawks, Zaza initiated contact, which means, he should have been ejected, the head butt...check your NBA rules...guess they don't apply to the fairer skinned athlete...

I'm not a fan of basketball, but I have been watching this year and this is not a sport, this is a girlie cheerleading squad. This is unlike any basketball game I have ever seen in my life. What is with all the acting and drama. If Ms. Lebron gonna cry everytime someone touch him or he touch someone then he needs to stay home and breastfeed his damn kids.

I don't know if you can be called one of the best players in the NBA, if you are not allowed to play the game under the same rules as the other players, but is giving the ball and can go for the basket and no one can check you or touch you.

What a bunch of cry babies ( the Wizards) if I were running the NBA there are several Wizards that would be sitting out the playoffs and probably several games into the next season as well. Defending the basket is one thing, but shoving someone to the floor, trying to clothesline them and punching has no place in the game.

Please the NBA is protecting an Elvis Presley knockoff. Darius only gave LeBron a love tap not a punch that would make Antonio Tarver look like a sissy.
