That's a pretty funny clip, and Shaq getting the crowd to chant "Kobe, tell me how my ass tastes" was priceless. But is Shaq really so jealous of Kobe's solo success this season that it's the only thing on his mind? Whatever the reason for Shaq unleashing this verbal beat-down, one thing's for certain: those four games between the Lakers and the Suns next season just got a whole lot more interesting.
UPDATE: Shaq backtracked a little when he was asked asked about this by Stephen A. Smith. His comments, after the jump.
"I was freestyling. That's all. It was all done in fun. Nothing serious whatsoever. That is what MCs do. They freestyle when called upon. I'm totally cool with Kobe. No issue at all. And by the way, don't forget, six albums, two platinum, two gold. Anybody who knows me knows I'm a funny freestyler. Check the NBA DVD when I was rapping about Vlade Divac during my first championship run. Please tell everybody don't make something out of nothing."

That video was very funny. However, one thing Shaq keeps forgetting is that he isn't winning any championships or going to the finals without Kobe!

EVERYONE IS ACCUSED OF BEING STUPID AT SOME TIME IN THEIR LIFE. SHAQ IS TWICE AS BIG AS MOST PEOPLE SO IT ONLY STANDS TO REASON THAT HE TWICE AS STUPID, TOO. THIS LATEST DEAL PROVES IT. SHAQ HAS BEEN STEALING HIS SALARY FROM THE NBA THE PAST TWO YEARS. HE WENT FROM A SUPER STAR TO A STUMBLE BUM. RETIRE, SHAQ.....YOU ARE AN EMBARASSMENT ON THE BASKETBALL COURT.

Nice one Shaq. You've turned a one time fan against you now with your classless, egotistical, racist "flow". The NBA isn't what it used to be.

I use to think highly of SHAQ, but after hearing the way he put KOBE down, I wouldn't give him directions of how to get out of a paper bag if he was caught in one.
This is POOR SPORTSMANSHIP and for a grown man who has children, a piss poor attitude of what a parent wants their child(ren) to learn.
SHAQ should be ashamed of himself and I was not aware he was in the process of a divorce, but after seeing and hearing this I hope that the Judge orders him to a parenting class of how to conduct yourself in public so the children ar not affected. Then individuals such as SHAQ wonder why people "sterotype".

Poor old Shaq. His divorce cost him millions. He lost his primary home. His basketball career is virtually over. What else does he can do? A recording career? Get serious. Blaming Kobe for his divorce?? Yeah, right.
The fact that (MVP) Kobe is now the leader of the youngest, and arguably the most talented team in basketball . . .
Kobe is looking at a future that should have another 3 or 4 championships in it. Kobe is just laughing in Shaq's face. That's got to be killing Shaq.
Just another stupid athlete who thought that the money would never run out. The sad part is that the mothers of his children will be left to fend for themselves. No one has ever accused him of being particularly intelligent.

There's an old story about two wrestlers going at it when one wrestler gets the other so tied up he looks like a pretzel and the match appears over. One sees a pair of testicles in front of his face hanging out of these shorts. This will cause match ending pain to his opponent and apparent winner. In a desperate last effort, he opens his mouthand gets a good grip on both and bites down as hard as he can only to discover he (Shaq) bit himself in the nuts.

here's the facts: the spurs played the two toughest teams in the playoffs on their way to the wcf. the lakers played the two biggest pushovers in the playoffs. the spurs played and won the toughest series of the playoffs vs the hornets going to a game seven. then they had to sleep on a grounded plane in new orleans instead of flying directly to l.a. with absolutely no rest, they still take a twenty point lead in l.a. only to lose their legs in the 4th quarter. they also had to play the lakers every other day for the whole series. no rest. no recovery. game 3 blowout victory. game 4 bullshit officiating. the spurs got jobbed to make way for a lakers vs celtics finals matchup.
after a full week off and two full days in between games, the lakers get creamed by the celtics. the nba got it's ratings and it's money and fans got robbed having to watch the celtics destroy the pathetic lakers. kobe, gasoft, odor and a bunch of white dudes that suck.
lakers fans, ask yourselves: if the lakers had to go through the suns and the hornets, do you think they would've made to the finals? hell no.

Hey klank-fu,
The only reason you're in the conversation with Kareem is because of your incredible physical gift. You miss SOOOOO many 3 foot shots around the basket, your team loses because you have no touch (which is something you should have learned). You can't sink a free throw, and once you stopped being able to dunk on everyone, you became a huge liability on any team. And you compare yourself to Kareem? Please. Kobe had a fantastic season that came up just short. I'm not a huge Kobe fan, but I never was a klank-fu fan.

Shaq does stuff like this, so tell me why Kobe is the one everyone hates? Seriously, back in 2004, Shaq was the one yelling, sometimes in games, "pay me or trade me"!
They traded him. Instead of finally taking a backseat to Kobe since his skills were starting to erode, he went to Miami and took a backseat to Dwayne Wade. Shaq was not the reason Miami won the title in 2006, it was D-Wade and the refs.
IF Shaq would have accepted the #2 role in LA, like he did when he went to Miami, he could have won another one in LA.

Just another example of a grown Black man acting childish & disrespecting some one. Hate & jealosy in its purest form. Grow up Mr. Oneal and retire. You're a liability to the Suns and at least the Lakers did make it to the Finals when you were home gaining weight watching Kobe do his thing. Even if Shaq was with the Lakers this Finals series I'd bet my years salary, (which isn't much) that the Celtics still would have won. Mr. Oneal, your time is over.

Even MORE facts: I'm sure that the Suns, Spurs and Hornets have good excuses for not being able to win the West. The Lakers did win the West, however. They won it with great difficulty, with their big man being injured for the 2nd half of the season. It'll be easier next year, when those kids are a little older, and a lot more experienced. At the beginning of the season, the Lakers were so young, that most of the "experts" predicted that they wouldn't even make the playoffs. A healthy Bynum would have kept a little more gas in their tanks for the finals. No excuses, though. Injuries are a part of the game, which I have followed for 6 decades.
