Jeff Goodman posted the list of NBA Draft green room invitees today, and you best believe that there is gonna be some heartbreak going down on this list. After all, there are 16 players invited ... and only 14 lottery spots. Mu-ha-ha.
Actually, there's a decent chance that no one on this list will get Quinned (read: fall too far), mainly because NBA teams are much more likely to draft based on "best available" than positional need if someone starts to drop, but draft day can always be surprising. Anyway, here's the list of who will be hanging out back while the cameras catch every instance of shock, surprise and tearful regret.
Joe Alexander, West VirginiaNote that the bold tags are of my own doing, because I think those three guys have the best chance to be odd men out. Randolph, clearly, could be a top ten pick. However, because of recent workouts and him weighing in at a sub-deuce 197, he might be the most likely to engage in a full on free fall.
Darrell Arthur, Kansas
D.J. Augustin, Texas
Jerryd Bayless, Arizona
Michael Beasley, Kansas State
Danilo Gallinari, Italy
Eric Gordon, Indiana
DeAndre Jordan, Texas A&M
Brook Lopez, Stanford
Robin Lopez, Stanford
Kevin Love, UCLA
O.J. Mayo, USC
Anthony Randolph, LSU
Derrick Rose, Memphis
Brandon Rush, Kansas
Russell Westbrook, UCLA
Jordan dropping a long ways could happen as well, and would obviously be more painful than either Lopez or Arthur checking out right after the lottery, a.k.a. where people have been expecting them to go all along.

Is getting 'Quinned' so rare that you've coined it that or do QBs just appeal to a smaller pool of teams that draft on need (ie 1 position)?
