New York took Italian forward Danilo "The Rooster" Gallinari with sixth pick. New York fans did not respond kindly.As the crowd assembled at Madison Square Garden did on every mention of Gallinari before the draft began, Knicks fans booed and booed and booed. When the cameras hit them, they booed. When Gallinari told Stephen A. Smith he thinks New York is the best city in the world, they booed. When he smiled uncomfortably, clearly fearing for his life, they booed.
FanHouse friend Nathan Fowler is at MSG. He said that before the draft, fans were particularly rough in mocking the Rooster's highlight reels. But assuming Gallinari is in fact legit -- which everyone says he is -- they'll get on board. I mean, Quentin Richardson's corpse and Jared Jeffries manned the position last season! The Knicks are immediately better for this pick.
Memo to Fran Fraschilla, though: This guy, no matter how good he becomes, isn't pushing sneakers in this country.

Every team the knicks have had for the past 25 years have been 90% blacks in the roster and lately even the coach Isiah was, so change a little, mix a little maybe then the Knicks will win again ?
It is not working for the past 25 years only with whites it did( 2 rings).

The 1969 and 1973 Knicks were about TEAMWORK, not about race. Race is not the problem with today's players. The problem is that they come to the NBA too early and NEVER learn to play the game properly. To then, th game is about money more than winning. Basquetball has becoming more international then ever and before you check your racist rant do some research in what is happening in the world today wih the game;
For better then 8 years team USA has not won any major tournement in the world which before that it was a given or expected;
Duncan,Yao,Manu,Gasol,Parker,Nash,Dirk,Verajao,Najera, Mbenga,Yi and many other International players are playing in the NBA and they should cause the NBA is the best league in the WORLD;
In fact , in china (not black nor white)right now is a big following with their youngsters
in another words the kids in china love the game,so are the Europeans and Africa among other continents in the world;
