Via NBA OKC blog by way of BallHype, comes this possible leak posted on an OKC fan forum: a phone pic of some sort of Oklahoma City Thunder merch. The logo itself seems like a cross between the Cavs and Bobcats ... which is not so good. The typeface used for "Thunder" here is basic and clean, but that could have nothing to do with the actual logo/branding. In fact, this whole things could have nothing to do with anything. It could be a design the franchise opted against. Maybe these balls are on a plane to Haiti.
Of course, OKC has been unusually bad at hiding information on the franchise changes. "Thunder" hasn't even been officially announced, and everyone knew it a month ago. It wouldn't surprise me if on Monday photos leaked of Clay Bennett's new Thunder logo tattoo. The whole front office just doesn't seem particularly good at PR.

Who cares?
These losers should have put out this info long ago.
You're a relocation team who relocated to Oklahoma who really gives a shit.
And, Westbrook will be a bust, print it.

Lakergregg: Are you really a Laker fan? If so, how can you criticize another team for being a relocated team? At least Thunder is a term related to Oklahoma. Lakers refers to Minnesota, the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes.

GD...you are so right. People keep under estimating Clay Bennett's ability to screw over a fan base. Within 5 years he'll do it in OKC.

Why would Clay Bennett screw over his hometown? I see the folks from the Pacific Northwest are still bitter. Oh, and what happened to all the posters everywhere that were so confident that Mr. Coffee was bound to win his big, bad lawsuit?

How many ass whupins will Washington folks have to take from us "stupid redneck hillbillies" in one year? They have already seen their NBA team flee to a better home. Big Daddy Starbucks finally tired of throwing his money away trying to save his image dropped his moronic lawsuit. The OSU Cowboys made The Washington State Cougars look more like The Seattle Mariners in football uniforms. And next The Sooners travel to the land of infinite rain to hang half a hundred on the Huskies. All of this couldn't have happened to more deserving folks.

You're right, this couldn't have happened to more deserving folks--THIS being a team with a WNBA name and logo and no hope of contending for a title thanks to the malicious personnel moves of a new ownership group moving to the only part of America more forgotten than the Northwest where it is sure to go bankrupt within five years. BETTER FOLKS being said ownership group which has just ensured their investment will fail, and the selfish and small-minded population of said s***hole which will have the distinct honor of spending what limited discretionary funds they earn (those who have not lost their pitiful jobs to illegal-immigrant Mexicans or Indonesian children) to view a team which will likely be a perennial basement dweller in the most poorly managed sports league in the world thanks to the fact that no star athletes will want to relocate to their depressing dust bowl of a state. Us Seattleites, on the other hand, still have a multitude of other sports and entertainment options available to us as well as a natural environment which does not resemble the surface of Mars (if Mars had Walmart).

More like a wife who found out her husband was gay. And I'd rather be a Seattleite than an "Okie" any day.
