NBA.com lists Eddy Curry at 285 pounds. That may have been true ... in the sixth grade. I've stood next to Curry in the locker room, and there's absolutely no chance that I'll ever believe he tips the scale at less than three bills. If I had to guess, I'd say he was 325 at the very least. But with Mike D'Antoni taking over the Knicks, you have to figure he's been doing his best to get into shape ... right? Right? Umm ... I'll let Frank Isola of the New York Daily News take it from here:
Poor Eddy Curry. He sat on the giant blue physio-ball during a break from Monday's practice and the ball exploded. Eddy fell and scraped and his wrist but should be okay. The ball, which is used for stretching exercises, was pronounced dead at the scene. If "dead at the scene" is code for "pulverized into tiny bits of rubber dust," yeah, I can believe it.

One thing I'll say about Eddy: Every time I was in the Knicks locker room last season (at least 12-15 games), he was the one player that would stay all the way through and answer every question the reporters were asking. Most of those guys would duck out two minutes after showering, but I give Eddy credit for being man enough to answer for his play.
