Recently the book "Twilight" was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I've been reading it for the past week and I wasn't suprised by the fact that it's a love story because my friend is a female. What up Twin! ... She knows who she is. Anyway, I'm almost done with the book and its been pretty decent so far. I'm used to reading books with a lot of action in it and it hasn't gotten to that part yet. It has vampires in it so it has to have some kind of excitement in it. As of yet, just mushiness. I know that might not be a word, but work with me. You know what I'm trying to say.
They actually made a movie based on the book with the same title. It came out about 2 1/2 weeks ago and it did very well in the box office. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions about the film so far. If I hear mixed opinions, I usually just wait until the movie comes out on DVD before I see it at the theatres because nothing's worse than paying for a movie that isn't good.
This book is actually the first of a 4 part series and it seems like a good start. One thing I can say is that I don't think it's better than the Harry Potter series. J.K. Rowling raised the bar becuase Harry Potter was so entertaining. I'm sure that makes it tough for people trying to write a series of books in the future. The Harry Potter movies are also pretty good so and it's made my standard pretty high.
I'm almost done with the book so I'll be checking out the movie very soon. Hopefully it'll be good.

I'm sure some people think that this review has no place in a sports blog, but I have been really tempted to read this book because of the immense hype surrounding it. I'm pretty sure "mushiness" is a word, and any book described as such is something I'll probably stay away from, haha. Thanks for saving me a few hours of my life Chris!
so like are you gonna go to the knicks or what man, no one cares about the twlight book let me hear some dirt mcgirt baby on your boy sam mitchell and his super sweet sideburns, or how lebron poops on toronto every time he there
Hate the book. Hate the movie.
But...love you, Chris! :) Good luck with that MVP thing, and with your future games.
Umm, Chris--you're supposed to finish the book before making a book review. Just sayin'.
Chris, you're paying for the movie regardless..whether you see it in the theatre or buy it on DVD!!! hahaha.
Blame the industry. Haters...
It's a fun book, until you realize that it's three hundred pages of a pair of idiots mooning over how pretty/delicious-smelling each other is. Maybe fifty pages of plot in the front and at the end.
