Take a look what NBA.com slipped into their online store this fine New Year's Eve: the jerseys for the 2009 NBA All-Star game, which will be played February 15th in Phoenix. I'm going to go out on a limb and sum these up with one word: underwhelming.
Seriously, what is it about the Phoenix game that brings out the worst in the people that design the uniforms? Remember the purple monstrosities from the 1995 game with the big cactus on the front? Sure you do.
Last year's gear for the New Orleans game was much more festive, wasn't it? These look like a poor attempt at some sort of futuristic theme, and I think the league could have put some more thought into the design to make them more All-Star-like. What do you think, love 'em or hate 'em? Sound off in the comments.

You should see what the people that live hear wear...
Didn't your last name used to be Edwards or something?
@phoenixstan: Hey, I live here...
@John: Yes. Yes it did.
Last year's uniforms were a disaster. When the front of the uniform is a different color from the back, the result is a confusing mess of colors on the floor. This isn't a Paris fashion show. Keep it simple.
