The over-the-top antics of Kevin Garnett on the basketball court have been well-documented; we've tried to keep up ourselves with some of his most recent incidents from this season. But never has Garnett's behavior been summed up to the extent that it is in the following video, which pieces together clips and narration of virtually all of KG's memorable dust-ups throughout his career in the Association.
Fans of Garnett's love to defend these actions, citing his "passion" and "intensity." But I think when you look at the body of work so to speak, it's clear that the guy is a mental case who should be known for cheap shots as much as he is for anything else.

What a one-sided post.
Henry Abbot of truehoop provided a much more fair assessment of KG's intensity a couiple weeks ago.

This stuff isn't black and white. Sometimes KG can be an ass, but lots of times his intensity is a good thing.
There are lots of players and people in the league in his corner.
there's a huge difference w/ playing w/ intensity, and playing to piss off people on the other team. KG plays to piss off people on the other team, thats pure douche bag intensity if you ask me.
there is a fine line between being a bully and playing with intensity...clearly kg believes his own hype and tries to intimidate guys that he thinks are scared of him...i cant wait until someone hits his punkass right in his mouth to see if he truly has any heart.
You can have intensity in your play without being a complete dick wad. Kevin Garnett obviously doesn't know this.
Chalk this up as another reason for much of the country to hate Boston's sports teams.
I am not defending anything. But Brett sure does everything in his power as a Lakers fan to bring up anything against the Celtics. Why the Fanhouse hired this clown is beyond me.
Interesting how before KG won a championship this was hardly an issue but now all of a sudden it is a huge overblown issue.
well, its quite possible that this has become more of an issue because kg is doing more of his "classy" shtick since he came over to boston, plus he is in a bigger market now...
i for one still think he's soft, and in big moments he will do what he does best...fold like a tent (btw, Pierce carried the celts in the big playoff games last year)
Well if any team in NBA history that lacks desire and pride the Lakers are a true example. They and their fans are all phonies. In 1987 when the lakers won the NBA championsip I was there. I couldn't believe the lack of interest for winning. The fans and players were more interested in getting to their exspensive cars and homes than celebrating their victory. Now I know why LA is refered to as "tinsel town". I could hear the crying from LA when the the Celtics kicked their butt because of their desire to win. Kevin Garnett was part of that desire. Its players like him that tear down Tinsel tents. GET IT RIGHT!!!
There is a big difference between intensity and being a bully. Garnett is nothing but a bully. He bullies players that are decent and does not care anything on the court but to play hard and win games. He has not bullied players like Rasheed, Stephen Jackson and the likes whom he knows will fight back and kick his literally big mouth. Example was when he bullied a Sacramento Kings player who retaliated by hitting him in his midsection, Garnett just kept quiet and left like a dog with his tail between his legs.

Kevin Garnett instigating a fight with Antonio McDyess and then backpedaling away from a seething McDyess is all you need to know about KG's antics. He tried to take McDyess's lunch money, but when McDyess fought back, the bully got out of dodge. Controlled intensity is a great quality in an NBA player, masquerading a raging inferiority complex as "intensity" is not. Fraudulent.

Interesting but in the 2004 playoffs I don't recall The Wolves playing Pheonix. In fact according to nba.com Nash was with Dallas for his last year and Dallas did not play the Wolves. I don't recall the Wolves losing any games by 40 that year in the playoffs either. Not sure where you got that info.

Kevin Garnett is the dirtiest player i've seen in the NBA...he sets illigal picks which the refs let go most of the time...he taunts players...throws elbows..I wish somebody will knock him out one day.
