Latest All-Star Voting Results: Carmelo Passes Amare for West Starting Spot

It looks like the fine folks behind Amare Stoudemire's All-Star campaign have a lot of work ahead of them over the next few weeks. That's because in the latest returns that were released today, Carmelo Anthony has moved into second place among forwards in the Western Conference voting -- which means that as of right now, he's overtaken Stoudemire and is now in line for a spot in the starting lineup.

Less than 11,000 votes separate the two however, so this race is far from over. And by the looks of things, both sides will be campaigning for your vote until the very end. Although the Nuggets seem to be taking it a bit more seriously, as they have their mascot camped out on the roof of the Pepsi Center until their fans turn in some more votes. Come on people, GET ROCKY DOWN!

Dwight Howard's overall lead continues, and even though the final results won't be announced until January 22nd, the only starting spot that appears to be up for grabs is the one in the West, which at this point is a two-man race between the men they call 'Melo and STAT.
