Doing Lines: (Super)man of Muscle

Every night there are some stupendous, silly, stupid, or downright outlandish individual lines from around the lig. Doing Lines lets you know which one tops the list.

Few NBA big men have really pounded Tim Duncan over the years. Add Dwight Howard to the club: Superman had 24 points on 12 FGAs, 14 rebounds including five monsters on the offensive glass, three assists, two blocks and a steal in San Antonio. Duncan ended up with a good line (18/10/5/3), but Howard's ability to get Orlando some second shots made a big difference.
Another big difference? J.J. Redick hit more three-pointers (four) than the entire S.A. roster (three). Here come the Magic ...

Herky Dirky: Despite being defended alternately by sively Brad Miller and foul-happy rook Jason Thompson, Dirk Nowitzki could do no more than 6-of-18 shooting, just 15 points despite getting far more attempts than anyone but Jason Terry (33 points on 24 FGAs -- and some simply brilliant strokes). Dallas was completely unbalanced in its loss in Sacramento, with only Terry and Dirk in double figures. On the other side, six Kings (including all five starters) scored at least 10, and seven players took at least nine FGAs. Balance, yeah!
