If Portland's threat to sue in the Darius Miles saga had any teeth left, Miles himself knocked them out last night. Miles played just under 14 minutes against Cleveland, the league's No. 1 defense. He scored 13 points.
The baseline turn-around jumper over the greatest player in the world, that was a nice touch. Really, everyone saw through Portland's weak attempt to paint Miles as useless as selfish fear-mongering, defending its turf at all costs. But beneath the surface, even folks like me -- highly critical of Portland's tampering -- believed Miles existed on the fringe ... if that.
We might be wrong, y'all.

I'm sure you've already taken a look but KD's take on this at BDL is good, it's level headed. Is Miles playing well some sort of victory for you? If Memphis ends up shipping Miles back to Portland for a second round pick and a briefcase full of cash how will you feel about the whole situation? Also curious if you could write a quick quip about what Miles ate yesterday. And if you could foreshadow what Miles post you will do tomorrow that would be lovely.

WTF is wrong with you people? What the hell did he say that requires whiny-ass commenters to try and tear everything someone else does down?
The man said Miles could still play using last night as a barometer. Is that wrong of a *gasp* sports columnist to follow up on a popular SPORTS story? GTF over yourself, Eric.
