I know we're a little Kobe Bryant-heavy today, but bear with me for just one more tidbit. Fast forward about one minute into this video, where Kobe hilariously steals a page from Sam Cassell's celebratory playbook, right after hitting the go-ahead three-pointer against the Spurs. You won't be disappointed.
* Stephen Malkmus – lead singer and founder of the classic indie-rock band Pavement -- speaking to RotoWorld: "My wife gets pissed when I'm on the waiver wire or live scoring on the computer when I'm cooking dinner...but it's better than internet porn, right??? - especially during dinner!" - Deadspin
* An exchange on the Howard Stern show, where Artie Lange is speaking with the alleged girlfriend of Devin Harris:
Artie: Do you live here with Devin?
Meghan: No, but I come here every week or every other week.
Artie (snicker): Do you think he's cheating on you?
Meghan: No (you can hear her big smile), he loves me, he wouldn't do that.
Artie (laughter): Whatever. - The Big Lead
* The Hornets inbounded, moved the ball 94 feet, and made a bucket in under two seconds. If two teams could keep that up all game, they'd head into overtime tied at 1,440. - TrueHoop
* The Blazers are bribing journalists, Amare Stoudemire says he plays "tenacious defense," and Luke Walton: Dead Head.

No doubt Kobe, recognizing the true master of giant balls interpretive dance, watched video and practiced this for months before employing it on the court for the first time. A consummate professional.

I'm a little confused here.
Kobe makes a three with twelve seconds to play. Got that...
But what I don't understand is that you didn't finish the story. Everyone knows the Spurs won. So why on earth are you praising Kobe when you know two seconds later in the game, Mason hits the sixteen foot jumper and the foul shot, after being fouled by Fisher, for the win?
Kobe had a good game, indeed, but so did Duncan. Both almost had triple doubles. Gasol, Parker, Bynum, Ginobili and Fisher also came to play.
It was a great game. Fought hard on both ends.
It's this manufactured hoopla dribble that erases all your credibility. In a game that the Spurs won, wouldn't the highlight instead be Mason's three point play for the win?
Kobe is a great player and you really, really like him. Your opinion is duly noted.
But if you want to bang the Kobe drum, at least show highlights of a game where he actually hits the game winner, instead of one that didn't actually decide the game. Showing Kobe's three and then Mason's answer with his own three point play, would be a better representation of how the game truly unfolded and was decided.
That would still be a great story and one that's not one sided or slanted. No disrespect intended.

Oh, if the article and video was intended just to be about Kobe's big balls dance, then I totally agree with DJ Kahn, the first poster in this forum. Kobe boasting after a three, when in reality, they ended up losing the game should be the head line in a new article about how not to act on a professional level. Yeah, he showed a lot of class there. A real highlight reel.
