H.O.R.S.E. Comes to All-Star Weekend

After years of begging from fans, and one year in the D-League test-bed, there will be a H.O.R.S.E. competition at this year's All-Star Game. TNT will air the competition during the episode of Inside the NBA immediately preceding the Saturday night fare on Valentine's Day.

No word on the three contestants yet; that's what will make or break the entertainment value. The initial rules give us a hint as to where TNT is going with it: No dunks allowed. That means we'll likely have some goofy shooters, probably with a half-court shot or 10 mixed in.

There's one more note of interest: TNT announced the broadcasters for the event as Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and ... Chris Webber. I guess Charles Barkley won't be back for the All-Star Game (arguably TNT's signature basketball event of the season since ESPN took over the draft).
