Every night there are some stupendous, silly, stupid, or downright outlandish individual lines from around the lig. Doing Lines lets you know which one tops the list.A couple of weeks back, Mo Williams and some of his teammates were upset that he didn't initially make the All-Star team (Shammockery!) He eventually was picked to join the team as a replacement for the injured Chris Bosh. Wednesday night, Mo tried to prove his All-Star worthiness by delivering his second 40-plus-point performance this season with 44 points, 7 assists, and 2 rebounds.
Of course it was against Steve Nash and his team's lowly defense. I mean, I could score 44 on Nash. Does that make me an All-Star? Just kidding, Mo. You're an All-Star, baby!
Time to Build a Wall to Stop D-Will: When healthy, Deron Williams is pretty hard to contain. His jump shot is money, and his combination of handles, quickness, and body size make him deadly going to the basket. At 6'3", Williams is a little heavier than the 6'6" Kobe Bryant. Basically he's a mini-LeBron (Read: Freight Train) going to the bucket. On Wednesday night the Lakers got absolutely destroyed by Williams going to the basket. Williams racked up 31 points (on 11-for-17 from the field), 11 assists, and just two turnovers. The Lakers finally figured out that the only way to stop Williams was to build a wall near the bucket once he started to drive. But by the time they started to do that, there were only a few minutes left in the game. Since returning from his latest injury, Williams has been averaging 32.5 points and 9.3 assists. Calling him hot would be an understatement.
'Lil Nate Does His Thing: So I guess Nate Robinson wasn't worried about conserving energy before his busy All-Star weekend. Wednesday night, 'Lil Nate went out and dropped 33 points and 15 dimes on the Clippers. Robinson started and played 52 minutes at point guard for the injured Chris Duhon. Is Nate that good or does this just prove that anyone can play point guard and be successful in D'Antoni's system? Stay tuned.

hmmm....one of two stellar performances....now this makes one an all star??? Mo Williams placement on list of assists #44...Mo Williams placement on list of FT% tied for 3...Mo Williams placement on league list of ANY other stat, including Efficiency rating? NOT EVEN REGISTERING IN THE TOP 50.... And for this, his whining should get him ALL STAR status??? I don't think so...and Mike Brown can stop whining as well. He conveniently ignores the previous obvious foul by his player and complains about the one that seemingly cost his team the game...As If...
Cavs need a gut check for the 2nd half of the season and grow up to stop playing the Rodney Dangerfield card to gain sympathy. If you're ALL that dominant, it's not even close with the Pacers...instead, they feel like their enititled to "crab walk" (which is still a travel LeBronze) their way to the ring... Mo is just the latest incarnation of a team thinking they're better than they are ALL the time...they just have to get it, on some nights, they, like the Lakers, Celtics Magic and others, just suck... and that's no reason to give them a break. As for MO... do that 40pt thing every night, and I will be screaming for you to lead the ALL EVERYTHING roster...
