Larry H. Miller, the owner of the Utah Jazz, passed away Friday at the age of 64 after a long battle with diabetes. Miller had been confined to a wheelchair for some time, and just a few weeks ago had both legs amputated below the knees. The Jazz owner is survived by his wife Gail. Miller was a somewhat controversial figure in Utah, as a result of both actions relating to the basketball team and beliefs away from the arena of sports.
However, it's impossible to deny that the Jazz' run under Miller's ownership was anything other than impressive. Just a few years after purchasing the team outright, Miller hired Jerry Sloan, the team's current coach, and under his ownership the Jazz endured a strong run thanks to future Hall of Famers John Stockton and Karl Malone.
Additionally, Miller helped to build the current Energy Solutions Arena and foster an impressive fan environment in Salt Lake City.
Thoughts and prayers go out to Miller's family and friends.

Utah has as good of chance as LA or any
other team to go to the finals and win it
all;
D. Williams right now is the best playmaker
in the NBA and in this past week he
confirmed such with an exclamation
beating LA,Boston and NO , firm.
Boozer the best rebounder for Utah
should be ready soon but they still have
Fesenko and Kostas that at any moment
given the chance can explote in the right
direction;
Last year, it was Utah not the Spurs that
gave LA a run for their money and Boozer
was out in 3 of these playoffs game early
due to foul trouble not this year;
So watch out this maybe the Jazz year in
memory of Larry H. Miller and will be well
deserve for the Utah organization;
Good luck Utah Jazz !

Larry Miller's death is a tragedy that underscores the life-threatening potential of diabetes, which unfortunately is now epidemic in the U.S. and much of the developed world. We write extensively about issues related to elevated blood sugar at http://dentistryfordiabetics.com/blog.
