FanHouse's NBA Guide gives you a daily look at all the games that matter ... and some that don't. HEADLINER
Oklahoma City at Golden State, 10:30PM ET
Dr. Lawyer Indian Chief of FreeDarko has dubbed this the 2009 version of Charlotte vs Atlanta. If you've read FreeDarko's Macrophenomenal Pro Basketball Almanac, you know the import of Charlotte vs Atlanta in past years. With that, understand the implications here. Strange things bound to happen, people.
Kevin Durant is the focal point here, with mad blast-off potential for Monta Ellis, Jamal Crawford and ... Anthony Randolph as well. But, strange thing. Whether that's a Nick Collison triple-double, Don Nelson showing up in Wiccan festival garb or Russell Westbrook dueling Corey Maggette 18th-century style ... who knows? WATCH.
UNDERCARD
New Orleans at Utah, 9PM ET
Deron Williams vs Chris Paul Alert. As always, Williams will have a strong game due to his singular ability to muscle Paul, and a few hundred Jazz fans will use this as permanent proof that the Hornet is overrated.
As the first game since the passing of Jazz owner Larry H. Miller, expect heavy, heavy emotions inside the gym.
Sacramento at Dallas, 9PM ET
Sacramento won! The Kings visited Memphis short-handed due to trades and waivers; only eight players were available, and one of them was named Kenny Thomas. Will Solomon and Ike Diogu are expected to be available tonight, with the others waiting until next week. Huzzah!
Dallas reportedly wanted in on John Salmons, so I expect Mark Cuban to boo Kings management heartily.
San Antonio at Washington, 8PM ET
The Wizards have won two straight! What is going on here? It's almost as if the Kings and Wizards don't want to lose every game (just 80% of them).
Unfortunately, Philadelphia at Miami is already underway. I would have definitely had something witty or insightful to say about it, however.
