Shaquille O'Neal is having a big-time resurgence on the court, and with it comes a renewed interest in responding to his critics by providing entertaining comments to the media. You may recall the Raptors' Chris Bosh saying something about the refs allowing O'Neal to camp out in the lane and not whistle him for three-second violations during his 45-point effort on Friday. While that might have been true on a few possessions, the fact was that Toronto had no one who could physically handle Shaq, and three seconds or not, against the Raptors' single coverage, he was going to get his.
Bosh's comments inevitably got back to Shaq, and he delivered this response Sunday after the Suns' win over the Lakers.
"I heard what Chris Bosh said, and that's strong words coming from the RuPaul of big men," O'Neal said. "I'm going to do the same thing (in their next meeting) I did before - make him quit. Make 'em quit and complain. It's what I do."Ouch. I'm not sure what Shaq is trying to imply here, and while it's an amusing line to throw out there, Bosh can't be pleased being compared to, as the Getty Images caption says, a "transvestite entertainer."
The two teams don't play again this season, and the way Shaq and his feuds have gone lately, he'll probably issue some form of an apology well before his next meeting with Bosh. Still, if Bosh ends up getting a dunk or an extra-hard foul on Shaq when they do cross paths again next year, well, given O'Neal's comment, it wouldn't be too much of a surprise.

A big-time resurgance is scoring 45 points once? And still sitting out every other game because you are too old?
and the whole incident didn't even warrant a response from shaq seeing how bosh was complaining about the refs.
no one has been talking about shaq since his skills disappeared and he just needed to give them a reason to. pretty childish coming from an old man

By the way Steveo,Shaq followed that up by scoring 33 and beating the Lakers.-Love him or hate him,ShaqFu is still a funny man.No matter how old he is,there are NO (as in 0,none, nada) big men in the league right now who can handle him alone in the paint. - Note to Brett: If Bosh does decide to "give him an extra hard foul when they meet again",afterwards,he better go hide behind the refs he was criticizing,or get twisted into a pretzel.

O Steveo please stop: The Big Diesel has played 52 of a possible 59 games and like 25 games in a row.He is averaging over 30 min pg. 18 ppg and 9 rpg. while playing alongside Amare Stoudemire.Since Amare went down for the season,Shaqs minutes have even gone up and so have his stats. He was the co-MVP at the All-Star game this year and is a 1st round Hall of Famer.Your ill informed opinion does not change any of these facts.

Gee, the "over" people are really getting into it. Bosh is "over"rated and Shaq is "over" the hill. The Lakers handled the Big Ego pretty well two games ago in Lakerland (12 points, 7 rebounds) even without Bynum.

Gee,the over the top people are still at it.And the Big Ego? returned the favor by shutting down Odom and Gasol in Sunsland, even without Stoudemire.

If 'by shutting down Gasol' you mean allowing him to only score 30 points (10 more than his average) on 67% shooting, then I guess you are right. As a Laker fan, I'm hoping that all the other teams in the league are equally 'successful' in shutting down Gasol.

nah,Gasol got his by shooting from outside.More like Odom fouling out with 4 points.Anyway,my comments are not about the Lakers,it's about the opinions that Shaq never plays or is somehow undeserving of his props this year. That's what I disagree with.I could care less about the Lakers or the Suns.
