Ron Artest is just not that bright sometimes. With his Rockets leading by 14 points in the third quarter Wednesday night over the Lakers, and with Kobe Bryant having scored just six points in the first half, Artest decided to engage in some trash talk with Bryant. Big mistake: Kobe scored 18 points in the fourth quarter, finished with 37 on the night, and the Lakers got the win. You can see the two jawing in the following video clip, and you can also see the look of disbelief on Bryant's face as this is happening. As Kobe yelled to the scorer's table during a timeout, "He must have lost his mind talking (trash) to me."

Artest owns LeBron, so he figured he'd try it out on Kobe...How'd that work out for ya, Ron?

Um no.....he realy doesnt own LeBron but nice try. He and Battier shut down LeBron one time that doesn't equal owning. Look at the last game they played and Lebron went for 27pts 9 rebs 5 assists 3 steals and a block in 30 minutes. You have to shut a guy down more then once to own. I'd have to say there isn't a guy in the NBA that can say the own Lebron or Kobe.

Huh? It looks like the game was in hand for the Lakers by the time the trash talking started. I didn't watch the game, but in the video, they do not show any trash talking before the 0:30 mark in the 4th. Nor do the announcers mention any earlier trash talking, they say Kobe and Atest "NOW having a running dialogue". Is there some previous trash talking that went on? Or are you saying that all those free throws that they Lakers hit in the final 0:30 were thanks to Artests trash talking?

Noboby owns Kobe, that's for sure, but Artest has LeBron in his back pocket..Kobe will take it to Ron, and shove points down his throat, LeBron will look pass first, he can't get rid of the ball fast enough..
