Every night there are some stupendous, silly, stupid, or downright outlandish individual lines from around the "lig." Doing Lines lets you know which one tops the list. The magnetic pull between the rim and Carmelo Anthony's fingertips could not be stronger. A night after wallopping Dallas for 43 points, 'Melo poured in 31 points against Golden State. OK, 31 points, no big deal, right? Well, those came in 30 minutes on 21 FGAs. Quick work, man. Anthony also had six rebounds and five assists, and the Nuggets lead by 30 after three quarters.
In his own 30-minute stint, Anthony Randolph had 10 points, 14 rebounds, four blocks, three steals and two assists. I don't know what you're supposed to make of that.
Tyrus Tells Them: It's all coming together for young Tyrus Thomas. A thrilling explosion for T.T. against Indiana, going off for 18 points (on 10 FGAs), eight rebounds and seven blocks. The crazy thing about those blocks is that Tyrus didn't get whistled for one measly foul. Clean and professional work.
Nice offense!: Memphis scored 66 points in Portland. It was an extremely limited-possession game (about 80 possessions for each team), thanks in part to incredible offensive rebounding for the Blazers (21/41 opportunities, guh). Memphis shot 41% from the field, 0% (in eight tries) from three, and drew very few fouls. Blech.
