You can't say it very often, so let's get it out of the way: The Clippers win! The Clippers win! After finishing tied for the second-worst record in the league, the Clippers have won tonight's draft lottery, earning the right to draft either Oklahoma big man Blake Griffin (pictured) or Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio, considered by most pundits to be the two prospects most likely to go in the top spot.
The Kings, who finished with the league's worst record, were bumped all the way down to the No. 4 pick, as the Memphis Grizzlies jumped up from the No. 6 to draft second and the Oklahoma City Thunder moved up from No. 4 to draft third.
The rest of the lottery will go as follows:
5. Washington Wizards
6. Minnesota Timberwolves
7. Golden State Warriors
8 New York Knicks
9. Toronto Raptors
10. Milwaukee Bucks
11. New Jersey Nets
12. Charlotte Bobcats
13. Indiana Pacers
14. Phoenix Suns
And the rest of the first round:
15. Detroit Pistons
16. Chicago Bulls
17. Philadelphia 76ers
18. Minnesota Timberwolves (via Miami Heat)
19. Atlanta Hawks
20. Utah Jazz
21. New Orleans Hornets
22. Dallas Mavericks
23. Sacramento Kings (via Houston Rockets)
24. Portland Trail Blazers
25. Oklahoma City Thunder (via San Antonio Spurs)
26. Chicago Bulls (via Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets)
27. Memphis Grizzlies (via Orlando Magic)
28. Minnesota Timberwolves (via Boston Celtics)
29. Los Angeles Lakers
30. Cleveland Cavaliers

Speaking of Mr. Chicken Wing, looks like he may have a chance at a potentially good front court mate. Zack Randolph is potentially an all star power forward, but has been trapped on losing teams. If he can get along with the coach and the pretty boy, and works this summer on stretching his defense more importantly than his offense, he could be an excellent power forward on a quality defensive team.

The lottery sucks. Being a Celtics fan I haven't liked it since we should've gotten Tim Duncan oh so many years ago.

If this keeps up the Timberwolves may as well try and switch to the Big 10. One more franchise down the drain. Happy Stern?
