Okay, we might be overstating it, but the fact of the matter is that a spectacularly played Game 4 of the Eastern Conference final led Moore, Watson and I to discuss LeBron James' future ... both immediate and long term.
After Cleveland managed to take last night's game into overtime, the Magic then reversed the fortunes of this series with a strong overtime period before putting the Cavaliers in a do-or-die situation. Unfortunately, that's a scenario that involves Mo Williams "not being horrible" and "being a man of his word." We take him to task, naturally.

LeTravel blew it. He was annointed the Holy one. The Ref.s gave him every break. They bailed him out on every terrible out of control move he made. They gave Mo Williams about 10 make-up calls for getting a scratch on his nose the last game. And still they came up short.
Why doesn't anyone talk about the "real" young players who are maturing and turning into legitimate contenders instead of this media concocted superhero who can't get it done.
What about Melo and Howard. They are playing at an incredible level and have been for several years. And, they keep getting better. And, thier teammates aren't folding when it gets into crunch time because they've learned to be leaders.
Who cares about "LeTraveling" and "Kobe The Rapist" anyway.
I want to watch the players who do thier talking on the court, not in commercials.

The Refs are definitely trying to Fix this series.
It's so obvious. If I were Lebron I'd be pissed because it makes him look like a total fool.

My condolences to David Stern, as well as to the mass sports media. It would seem that your man-crush is on his way to watching the NBA Championship series from his living room.
Don’t get me wrong, I like LeBron James: he’s a tremendous basketball player, but I am completely over the media whirlwind praising him as the next (or better than) Michael Jordan. Come on guys… really? How many rings does James have? Again, he’s good, really good; he has the potential to be the best ever, but at this moment he is no where near Jordan. Let the man play, and let the future play out.
I love watching the Cavaliers go down 3-1, and yet still during every commercial break see three out of five commercials hailing Kobe and LeBron as the national championship match-up. What in the world are Nike and Vitamin Water going to do when LeBron is eliminated, and all of those “NBA Champion LeBron James” commercials (which you know have already been filmed) are essentially worthless?

I agree with you 100% but at the same time its not over until its over. I dont like none of the teams that are in the playoffs but I respect the fact that they did what they had to do to get there. There has never been a team to come back and win a playoff series when they were down 3-1. Not even MJ could do it. Anything is possible and if LeBron does it what will people say then? I going to be real thats a long damn if but no one thought the Giants would beat the Patriots either. Plus do you know how much money David Stern would gain? Dont put anything past these folks and dont count LeBron out until its finally written thats its over.

People need to look at the facts, James does it all by his self thats why they call him the best in the game. He has no support not even a good coach. His coach doesn't even call the plays. LeBron puts his team on his back night in and night out out but you cant win by yourself you need help and he has none. People are crazy to not give that man the respect he deserves. If Melo was in LeBrons shoes and do what he does every night then he would be the greatest, but until you put him on a team like the Cavs who have to supporting help for LeBron you cant put Melo in his shoes. And when LeBron finally does get some help, like a Shaq, D. Wade, or Melo, people still wont give him respect because they going to say he has a helping cast. Its a lose lose situation for LeBron being the greatest but they did MJ the same way and look at his outcome. I hear a lot of people criticizing these athletes that are so great at what they do and they cant even play a sport at all. Everyone wants to be a Judge and Jury!

Mike Brown blew it plain and simple the game plan of using the entire team in a winning offensive strategy (66 WINS) has been abandoned in the second half of games 1 and 2 and completely in games 3 and 4 ...... what the hell is wrong with you MB ..... the coach blew it. You can not call #23 every play. Period.

Mike Brown is a horrible coach I feel the real coach is Lebron. How you going to finally play Gibson now that you feel you dont have a chance. They played as a team against the hawks and pistons thats why they were able to sweep them. Mike Brown doesnt know what to do right now and he is suppose to be the coach of the year. Mo Williams cried his way to the All Star game and then want to make guarantees. I would be an All Star to if I made 50% of wide open shots when Lebron kicked it to me.

Hahaha, I was saying the same thing last night, Travis. After three games, two he lost, Mike Brown FINALLY tries to switch up the gameplan? And did anybody else notice the Coach of the Year NOT drawing up the last couple defensive plays during timeouts?

Thats what he has been doing all year long, nothing at all. He's no coach of the year. Hell I know a lot of us can go out there and get paid to do what he does, we probably would win more too (he has LeBron its not hard). I'm not trying to be hard on the guy but he needs to stop being a fan of LeBron and coach his team.

Lebron is still the best player in the game. The ny times did a complete statstical analasis comparing Lebron and Kobe during the Olympics ..with Lebron the clear winner. The same is even more true during these playoffs....not to mention the Quality all star backup Gasol gives lakers. That said Lebron seems to be uncharacteristically turnerover prone this series...calm down....it aint over til its over...any team that can win 15 in a row..can certainly win 3!!!

Lebron is 24 yrs old. He has been in Ohio all of his life. All of his family is in Ohio. His mom can make every single game. He has the best fans in America. He has all the freaking endorsements he would get anywhere else. Cleveland is missing a strong post player and Z is close to finished in Cleveland.. The front office tried to trade for Amare if you remember...The Cavs will keep James and give him a strong post player to balance our offensive and defensive stragedies....Then we will have our championship.... We may still get it this year!

I live in Cleveland, sorry to say;but regardless of what LeBron does on the court, pales to what he does off the court. He helps under priveledged kids, speaks to the man on the street like we are all-stars,treats everyone with respect, and always remembers his roots. If he isn't the all-time best on the court, he is close. He is the all time best off the court.Try and get an autograph from MJ,let Kobe tell you how to respect women, then watch LeBron deal with his fansand his town.

I wish he would go to the Celtics. A team of Garnett, Lebron, Pierce, and Rondo would be unstoppable. They would probably win 75 games. Trade Ray Allen and a couple of backups (Celtics have pretty good backups) and a slew of picks for him. Their bench would be weak but their starting 5 would be unstoppable.

Lebron will play for two things:
1. Where the money is...he has stated publicly that he wants to be a billionaire and he converses with Warren Buffet about how to do it. If the potential numbers don't show up in Cleveland (endorsements, public appearances, salary etc) then he most likely will move to a higher profile club (Knicks maybe? Chicago? Even Miami are ALL bigger demographics and until Kobe leaves LA is probably out.)
2. He will play where he thinks he can get a ring. While his prime motivator is apparently being a billionaire, he also loves the game and wants at least one if not several of the games highest accolades...winning it all. So, if it doesn't REALLY look like he can win with the team he has, or that ownership will fork over the green to put around him...then he will Usain Bolt for the team that will.
Any loyalty to the region will go out the window under the internal pressure of those two goals. Lebron is a smart man...too smart to pull a KG and stay in MN for way too many years before moving to a contender...sorry Cleveland...a persons highest loyalty is to themselves and their dreams first...

Anywhere is better than Cleveland. Its bad when you AVERAGE over 40 per game and your team is down 3-1. James IS the Cleveland Cavaliers. I can tell that the NBA is pushing James vs Bryant they way these two get calls like nobody's business. I love the fact that Denver and Orlando are fighting to stop that from happening. Magic/Nuggets would be fun to watch.
To close, LeBron needs to move on. The Celtics would be awesome. Just please, dear lord, not the Lakers.
