We talked about this a couple of times on the RoundCast, and even though the Nuggets lost in their Game 5 meeting with the Lakers, this is one highlight that surely won't be forgotten. Chris Andersen meets Lamar Odom at the rim, and rejects a slam dunk attempt with nothing more than his fingertips standing in the way of Odom putting down a monster dunk which would have undoubtedly featured the Birdman as the victim in an upcoming poster. The first couple of views of the play really don't do it justice; make sure you hang in for the slow motion, HD-like replay where you can see Andersen's fingers bend back to thwart the dunk attempt. I'm no Nuggets fan, but this one was spectacular.

The greatness of this block was overshadowed by the subsequent dunks on Anderson which will most certainly be higher on the top 10 plays as well. Those dunk being by Shannon Brown and Lamar Odom himself sooooooo.... :-/ lol

Posting this vid doesn't make a lot of sense in light of Lamar later posterizing the Birdman, and backup PG Shannon Brown doing the same.

It's a good thing that wasn't a Magic player trying to block one of the Cavs like that. Can you imagine the BS call the refs would have had to make up if that was someone blocking Lebron James' shot. It would have at least been a flagrant 2. The Defensive player would probably suspended for 10 games.
Has anyone been watching that series. The Refs have been trying so hard to fix the whole thing and push the Cavs through to the finals.
It's just sad.

You don't have to be a Denver Nuggets fan (even though I am one) to be a Chris "Birdman" Anderson fan. With his great personal story and comeback year he has shined on and off the court.
