The Lakers advanced to the NBA Finals on Friday, by eliminating the Nuggets in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals. Matt Moore and I welcomed Josh Tucker of Silver Screen and Roll to the RoundCast, to discuss L.A.'s big win, as well as what might lie ahead for the Lakers on their road to redemption in this year's Finals.
Are the Cavs or the Magic the better matchup? Can Lamar Odom continue to play to his potential? Will Derek Fisher ever stop shooting the PUJIT?
We have no idea. But we'll discuss it all, as well as give you our Finals preview, without even knowing who the Lakers will face once the championship round begins. Yes my friends, sometimes, it's that easy.

The Magic are the best and deepest team left in the playoffs.
It's just that the NBA doesn't want them to advance.
The refs are trying to fix the outcome of the Magic Cavs Series.
Lebron gets every call on every play. It's just crazy.
It's so obvious the series is fixed. It looks like a public relations nightmare for David Stern.
He's Fixing games and everyone knows it.

I agree the refs have made horrendous calls against the Magic..and let James do anything he wants. It's a disgrace to the NBA. I have never seen a playoff so FIXED!!!

Oh orlfrd, you of poop for brains, you call this a "fixed" series and that it's a PR nightmare? Surely, you jest, and yes, I'll stop calling you Surely in a moment. Like a Howard/Kobe matchup would be the end of the world for the NBA (no babies allowed, yeah, sure, you know that!)? And the team getting all the calls is down 3-2 in the series...guess they have to do a better job fixing. I guess you could guard a 6'8", 275 pound man-child with the strength, ups and pill-skills of LBJ without fouling him often, but the Magic-men aren't quite as nimble as you. Poor officiating has always been a factor of the game, and this series is no different, but normally poor officiating goes both ways. Depends on where you hail from, but as I see it, the Magic are a difficult matchup for the Cavs because of their size, especially on the perimeter, and they're shooting lights out. The Cavs are playing marginally at best, but seemingly always do against Orlando, and that's because I'd agree, top to bottom, the Magic are a better team. But, LeBron is the King, and he can make any game a toss-up. Guess we'll have to see, but I predicted the Magic in 6 before the series started, and I'm from northern Ohio.

The last ref that fixed a game is now doing time... Stern knows he does not look good in pin strips...

The Lakers have this thing in the bag. Denver was the only team with a prayer of beating them, and they turned out to be a paper tiger..

Wow the officiating in the Eastern Conf. Finals has been bad. I mean really, really bad. Lebron's a pretty good player on his own. They should let him play by the same rules as the rest of the league and see how he does. I hate it when the referees pull this crap. Unless they call a fair game tonight, the Magic don't stand a chance. It's hard enough to play against another good team and close them out. It's almost impossible if the Referees won't even let you compete. Every time Lebron misses a shot or even touches the ball, they call a foul. It's so stupid, it's over the top. It's just not fair for the Magic. They have 2 opponents, the Cavs and the Referees.

Wow, the Magical whiners are...ready for this - wrong again! Series goes 4-2 Magic and yet it was fixed against the big O...hmm, imagine that! How'd that happen? Hope there's an investigation as to how the Magic and no-foul Dwight Howard made it to the finals. Some real objective, informed and erudite commentary going on in this post...NOT! Maybe you whiners will get some cheese as a prize for the next series when the Magic stops against the boys from la-la land 'cause you ain't getting the big prize. Still, I'm sure that series will be fixed also...see you next week.
