LOS ANGELES -- If you want to know how Magic swingman Mickael Pietrus is handling his time in the NBA Finals media spotlight, here's a little window into his past two days. On Friday afternoon, as Pietrus was finishing up his session with the media, he was asked: "How much different is it guarding Kobe Bryant than it is guarding LeBron James?"
"Man ... I've had that question like 15 times," Pietrus sighed.
"This time, more precisely," said the reporter.
"You just got here?" said Pietrus. "Welcome."
On Saturday afternoon, as Pietrus was finishing up his session with the media, he was asked again what the difference was between guarding Bryant and guarding James.
"Next question, please," said Pietrus, smiling.
"How many times have you been asked that question?" said the reporter.
"Like 150 times, and I said the same thing over and over," Pietrus said. "So if you guys don't have it, you're the media, take it from him (another reporter). You know, go to In-N-Out Burger, and buy him a burger."
Reporter: "So, you're done answering that question?"
"It's the same question all the time," Pietrus said. "Let's talk about life in general. What do you like to do when you're not playing? Something fun. You know? It's not about basketball sometimes."
Pietrus has been having a good time with the media, but has made a point each day to talk about the No. 447 he's wearing on his basketball shoes to honor that Air France flight that crashed en route from Rio De Janeiro to Paris on Monday.
