American sports leagues have often been fairly criticized for a lack of diversity at the management level. College football famously has problems fixed its incredible lack of blacks among its head coaching ranks, and pro baseball and football have faced the same talk in terms of its front offices.But a recent study by the University of Central Florida's Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport showed that the NBA is doing it well. Women fill 43 percent of the league's "professional" positions, and the NBA remained the only major American professional sports league with a 'A' grade in both racial and gender diversity. The study also reported that over its history, the NBA has had more than twice as many black head coaches than any other league.

I don't understand it,why should it matter Color should not play a factor at all.It should be higher the best only.If it is just diversity for diversity's sake then Why not be more diverse in the Players? Don't get the best players make sure they are more racially balanced to reflect the Population stats. To me that is just hypocrisy and double standards. If 20 Asian guys are the best Coaches then those 20 should be the coaches, the same as if 20 white or black or purple people eaters. I think when people decide to hire based on diversity you realy start being racist because then you throw out the best and hire based on color only. LOOK what Sotomayer did last year with the Firefighters. !9 firefighters scores for promotion were thrown out because the highest scorers were of a certain race or 2 and none of another race. So Sotomayer decides it is OK to throww out the scores of the best to Promote based on Color. Fine kinda of racism she is practicing there. A fine example of intolerance and bigotry. And gasp she has done this over and over througout the years and the MEDIA barely mentions a peep of it so she can get elected to the Supreme Court. Also The same ones pushing for her and saying it would be great because it would be the First Hispanic Elected are the Same ones that BLOCKED a Person that woud have been the FIRSt HISPANIC on the Supreme Court- They were racist in doing so and he did not have a history of being bigoted or using race in his judgeents. SEEMS it is only MONUMENTOUS When it is their guy/girl but when the MINORITY Runnoing is on the other side they can use dirty disgusting Tactics to keep History from being made. Disgusting the Intolerance of the Democratic Party and their Supporters.They Spew venom and hatred when A Spanish guy is in the running for the Supreme court and do everything they can to block him and make up all kinds of lies,but now when they are running a person if anyone dares look at her terrible record they are accused of racism. Seems they are just full of hate and don't really care as long as the lies suit their purposes.
