There are some oddly interesting parallels between Kobe Bryant and Conan O'Brien; athleticism aside, of course. Both are seen as "rebels" -- to a degree -- and both are now champions (again, to a degree), with both having stepped out of the shadows of their former big men (Shaq/Leno). Or something. Either way, you could see a fantastic difference in Kobe's personality on the "Tonight Show" last night, owing mostly to his legacy being nearly complete. Hand-pounds to the Drs. of Hoop.

hey nabpdcop,
forget about it? are you kidding me. this guy is one of the faces of the league. This guy wants to be respected, admired and revered by young people all around the world. Maybe, just maybe he should start acting like a person WORTHY of what he so desires. That is the price he must pay, just be a good guy!! Do you think this is the first time he has cheated on his wife? It's just the first time he got caught. Kobe bryant is a incredible player but he is not a role model whatsoever.

sonchopanza...AMAZING! You have got to be the ONLY person in the world that hasn't made a mistake!! God, I wish I could meet you. Kobe and everyone else (EXCEPT YOU) have messed up in their life but you being SO PERFECT I'm surprised you don't take the high road?? But you know...I'll bet if we started looking into YOUR background we would find some BS that makes Kobe cheating on his wife pale by example. Kobe is an icon all over this planet. What have you done that makes you a icon on your street? What? Never get caught?

Kobe is a punk wrapped in BS. Like his soul brother OJ, he will continue to buy and charm his way out of every vile act, pay his wife with $4M dollar diamonds and jaguars, pay off girls he abuses, and shoot enough hoops to please his fans until he goes too far. Then he can walk the Yard with Simpson

The girl was not raped. Kobe is not a sex offender. Kobe does not have a probation officer. Kobe served no jail time for rape. Kobe does not have a rap sheet with Rape on it. So how is he a rapist? No court in the World has Kobe listed as a rapist. So where does your information come from? What court room? The article was about Kobe being on TV. The Lakers won the championship for 2009. That's it. That was an easy win just like the 76ers championship series. Both teams could not match up with the Lakers. But what I like is the fact that the same Lakers players and coaches could not beat a group of old washed up ball players from Boston in 2008. And in one or two of those games, those old Celtics came from behind and won by large margins. So don't go thinking this Laker team is somthing special. They played a lesser team and should have won 4-0. The Magic lost two games they should have won. The Magic should have been up 3-1 or 3-2. Yes, they were going to get beaten in LA but the series would have gone on longer. So the Lakers dodged a bullet. They did not just put the Magic away. And the Lakers had way more talent than the Magic on paper. And if the Lakers bench can get rings, Rodmanivich(traded during the season) should get a ring. Go Sonics.
