Did Shaquille O'Neal learn that he was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers via a tweet on Twitter? It certainly would appear that way judging from his responses to a pair of fans who reached out minutes after the trade was announced online:

allonso: @THE_REAL_SHAQ is it true u a CLEVELAND CAVALIER
THE_REAL_SHAQ: @allonso I didn't hear dat yet

And then ...

titans321: @THE_REAL_SHAQ heard you got traded to the cavs. good luck back in the eastern conference.
THE_REAL_SHAQ: @titans321 I did for real no I didn't stop playin

Maybe he's simply having fun with the fans, but judging how open he usually is with his fans on Twitter, it's hard to think his replies weren't from the heart.

Finallt, we have a real owner in Cleveland who wants a championship as much as the fans.... 45 years of owners, gms and coaches who seemed content on just making a playoff run is out the window, and the choice to raise a trophy in Cleveland is in sight.... Thank you Mr. Gilbert... thank you Danny Ferry..... and now Mike Brown don't you blow this chance we got.
